Ducks could go to the NFL this year.

5 in the 1st round with:

    Marcus Mariota - QB
    Hroniss Grasu - Center
    Jake Fisher-OL
    Arik Armstead- DL
    Ifo Ekpre- Olomu- CB/DB

    I could see rounds 3-6:

    Erick Dargan - DB
    Troy Hill- DB
    Hamani Stevens

8 players going pro from your school has got to turn some recruiting heads for Oregon especially with the variety of positions.

    GO DUCKS!!!

So our defense is going to be decimated.

    I don't think so......

Up front Buckner, Balducci and Kaumatule, that's the same size as this year. 2 out of 3 back....
LB's- Walker, Mattingly, Coleman, Prevot, Ragin, Swain
    Secondary- Seisay, Springs, Robinson, Daniels

if only Armstead declares, they'll lose 5 starters off of the D. Losing 5 of the 11 the starters is obviously a pretty big hit. Hopefully Canton can step into the rotation and contribute but I suffer no illusions he'll mirror AA's production right off the bat... I can't recall a true Freshman Lineman starting at UO other then as injury replacement & those that have been pushed into that role have struggled (see Crosby). Replacing both corners might be the most daunting as no one besides Seisay is at all proven, and Hill & Ifo were both All Conference.

as for the draft, Ifo & Arik might slip into the end of the 1st, but my guess is only Marcus is a 1st rounder.

Barring injury! Canton will be more productive than AA by start of sophomore year. 1st he's a true D lineman, and he's as athletic as AA, he wont need two years to mess with his weight while deciding on hoops. He's here to play D line and be done in 3. He'll be able to take on the doubles right away and that will free up Buckner and Balducci to really get after the QB.

As for LB's Prevot and Swain will have big years next year, and Walker and Mattingly will bring the north to south pain along with Coleman.

Secondary is of concern. However Seisay, Daniels, Robinson give us nice height back there and have all played in big games. Springs, Ihenacho and McGraw will be our wild card big play younger guys.

Who's our bring the pain guy like Dargan is at this point, I still don't know. Ihenacho is where my I'm thinking.

Jake Fisher was really impressive today at the combine coming in at 6'6 306, and finishing 2nd overall for OLineman in the 40 (5.01 seconds) and tied for 1st in the vertical jump at 32.5"

Looking like Mariota, AA and Fisher in the 1st round right now!
