I think we could see Nick Diaz legit KO'd for the first time in over a decade in this fight. Silva will be fighting with something to prove and I have a hunch Diaz doesn't give a shit anymore.

See, my gut feeling is different.

I think we could see Diaz actually land something on Silva. Weidman broke that chin. Silva is older, slower, coming off an injury. His mental game has to be shaken. Diaz throws in bunches and pressures.

The closer the fight gets, the more my doubt creeps in about Silva.

If Diaz presses he's going to be eating counter shots. Silva is a better boxer and I think has the speed advantage as well.

I think if Diaz survives the first two rounds hes got a good chance at winning. If I believed he could create and stick to a gameplan, I think he'd have a pretty good shot in general. But he willingly eats punches and that just won't work against Silva.

You are all probably right, but I just can't picture a 39 year old coming off of a major injury being a heavy favorite. Silva has rightfully deserved his reputation, but I think the Anderson Silva of being dominant is long gone. Even in the 2nd fight against Weidman, he was eating shots that had him rocked. Nick Diaz is going to land some punches on him. Nick throws in bunches, some 50%, others 80%, and some 100%. If those punches land, I want to know if Silva's chin can hold up.

We have seen too many elite level athletes stay in the game way too long. I fear Silva is going the way of Chuck Liddell.

    Nick missed his flight?

DFW & the UFC are joking around a bit. Dunno why Nick would even fly from NorCal to Vegas.

I think Diaz rocks Silva with a left hook.

Diaz didn't fly to Vegas and didn't attend the open workouts.

The more I sit and think the more I think Silva is gonna be tko'd, if Diaz wins you know he is gonna get a title shot at 170 within the year (after Rory).

Yah, I have the same gut feeling. Diaz throws in bunches. Anderson has slowed. Those punches will land.

Great fights are never easy to predict beforehand.

Speaking of which I had high hopes for McCall/Lineker. Seeing it in the middle of the prelims makes me think the UFC has low expectations for it.
