Looks like Dame will get to play in the All Star game after all, and there's a chance Kerr could name LA the starter at power forward.

Any possible way Dame turns it down? Honestly I would not be surprised if he did.

That's an interesting question, and you're right it wouldn't be that surprising I guess. Unless of course he has incentives in his contract for being named to the All-Star team.

No way. I thought about this too & he may want to say "thanks, but no thanks". But regardless of how he feels, he won't miss an opportunity to market himself & his new signature shoe. Adidas made a special colorway for the D Lillard I just for the ASG (back when they thought he was a shoo in, no pun, to be selected by coaches). Plus, at the end of the day he'll be a 2-time all star and counting. Sometimes you have to put ego aside and think about what's the smart thing to do. Dame's a bright kid, and he's got people around him that "get it".

Not to mention the people at Adidas could find over 100 million reasons to convince Dame to take the spot!

I get the feeling Dame would never say so but I still think he needs the rest.

I don't see any way he passes up the honor recognition and validation of being an all star.

Give it to Dirk. afterall, it's a life time achievement award.

That and it's not worth him getting the invite anymore.

Maybe he'll pull a Tom Chambers and win the MVP award and when he's given the award he can go "not bad for a guy who barely made the team..ass faces" and then drop the award and go "f this shit!"

Dame can't turn it down if they offer it to him. It would look like extreme sour grapes and it would damage his image.

Even if Dame could turn it down I doubt he would with his new shoe just coming out.

Speculation among GS fans is that Blake's injury will allow Kerr to start both Harden and Klay Thompson. He had an interesting decision on his hands regarding which one should start at SG but now he can start Harden at the 2, Klay at the 3, Durant at the 4.

I don't think Klay deserves to start more than LMA, but at the same time I have zero sympathy when it comes to all-star snubs. I'm all for GS getting ours while we can.

So is this really a chance for Dame to get on the AllStar squad?

Dame should come in game and dunk on lebron immediately then drill like 14 3 pointers in a row. Knock over the Gatorade and walk off the court a winner by knock out.

interesting choice, if he goes with it. Go with 3 guards, Durant and Gasol.

I no longer care if Portland gets "theirs", since I long time ago gave up on the league being fair.

I bet that the league gives the spot to DeAndre Jordan, since he's a fellow Clipper (and he's a good candidate).

I bet not after how apologetic Silver was about Dame when he picked Cousins.

Since he picked the guy who was on a crappy team instead of Damian, replacing a guard with a PF/C, I wouldn't put anything past him.

(yes, stats are impressive, but the Blazers are top 6 in the league)
