the link below gets you to the rivals database, but I don't think it will let me save the settings... but other posters can do that themselves. Change the year to 2016, select Oregon as the school you want to query for & then lastly click the box that says only show prospects with offers. The list is 40 deep or so https://rivals.yahoo.com/oregon/football/recruiting/recruit-search STOMP
Just pass info along, not like I'm all wrong ergo Uluave. after Next year we lose. Marshall Schuller Adams Lousi Peirson andre Y Prater Johnstone Bair Ka-ai Talia Baldcci Buckner French Walker Hardwick Coleman Dixon total of 18 Possible early leavers Brown (depending on his injury) draft grades but unlikely Addison Tyner Hunt Baylis Prevot Daniels most likely competition attrition. A QB transfer (Mahalak or Waller competition loser) A WR transfer (lots there to love but, lots) A RB transfer(same as above) I say we can take about 20 .
J Hop said the same. 20 or so seems to be the number we always take. I wonder why we don't take 25-29 kids a class?
Cause our coaches arent Dicks the like of Urban Meyer, and Hugh Freeze for example. Timely article for this question http://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/2vnngc/unmasking_ohio_state_as_one_of_college_footballs/
when the Duck coaches talk about the high character of recruits they target, part of that is going after Honor Roll kids. For multiple classes in a row now, all their kids have qualified and enrolled. If you look at some of these schools with larger classes, thats often not the case... heck, check out Oregon's classes under Bellotti. Down the line, those HS Honor Roll kids don't tend to flunk out in college, so less attrition. It definitely hurts their class rankings to have fewer spots available, but those aren't the rankings I'm focused on. In recruiting news, UO just offered OLineman Nathan Smith following a visit to Eugene accompanied by his father. I enjoyed his tape/pancakathon http://www.ncsasports.org/football-recruiting/ca/murrieta/murrieta-mesa-high-school/nathan-smith32 STOMP
I'm hoping we get another Dargan with this kid Shurod Thompson out of his high school in Pittsburg, CA. 4* 6'1 Safety! I'm digging this Pittsburg connection we're building.
he's scheduled to attend Oregon's camp this summer & has called UO his "dream school". Hopefully if he's got the grades and character they're looking for to make his dream come true. STOMP
the Texas offers keep rolling out, this time to LB Dontavious Jackson. He says Pellum has visited his school multiple times & claims to be buds with Torodney Prevot. He also says he'll be visiting Eugene this Spring. STOMP
the latest rivals 2016 top 250 list is out. Stargazers will note that 27 kids on the list have Duck offers http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/rankings/rank-3513/2016 STOMP
I wont be shocked to lose Seth Green in this class as it seems his dads work move and now the offer to Texas seem a little to timely. Maybe a blessing in disguise so Oregon can not have Travis looking over his shoulder and Tua can come in year after.
also scheduled to camp this summer is a highly rated CB teammate of his named Jordan Parker. He claims to speak to Erick Dargan almost daily and is really hoping for an offer http://www.maxpreps.com/video/watch.aspx?videoid=876b289c-d87d-4d8b-a166-ca670d2d8f74 STOMP
Another "dream school" kid is Arizona WR/DB Chase Lucas. He claims to speak to the coaches regularly and is planning a visit in the Spring. STOMP
Well if this 2016 secondary class comes together with Mayden, Thompson, Breeze and you have to like our odds with Nigel Knott, I'd say Oregon SCORED HUGE!!!! I'd say we get 3-4 at the least.
