Did anyone see the first period Gallagher goal? Another goal where
a hockey stick was not needed. Montreal 1 Ottawa 0 into the 2nd
period. Sick of the Canadien bias from the players to their fans to the
    announcers.

You love to complain about the refs and the bias you feel exists...LOL. Pretty sure it hit Gally's stick after it hit his body.

I think the refs biggest issue is letting the clutching and grabbing go again slowing down the game.

For the most part I thought the refs were solid in the Pens series, where we had many more PP's than them. I know many were concerned about that entering the series, but it worked out okay IMO. I think the refs need to call more of that clutching and holding again to open the game up, but overall I am fine so far with the refs. This is the playoffs, bumps and bangs will happen.

Now that was a bad whistle for the Sens. That puck was clearly free. Should be 1-1.

Not going to happen. Price is the best.

It looks like Montreal's mantra is "Score one and the rest is Price."

Price wins that one for the Habs. Coming back from 3-0 down was not going to happen. They needed to win either game 2 or 3 and didn't, and that was that.

Hopefully the Wings can win that series tomorrow night. I have to figure TB shows up big on the brink of elmination, but we'll see. Surprising they are down 3-2 right now, so who knows how they will show up. I think both of those teams would have a real good shot to beat Montreal.

We could be all locked in after tomorrow night. West already locked in: Wild/Hawks and Flames/Ducks. Let's see if the East ends tomorrow night (does Detroit beat TB).

I think Detroit wins. They're simply outplaying Tampa. Montreal vs Detroit would have a nice old school feel.

Original 6. I would like a Det/NYR ECF. That would be nice.

Welcome to the NHL playoffs yet again.

Everyone loves TB into the series...Wings win game 1. All about Detroit in game 4...TB comes back to win late. Everyone loves TB in game 5...Detroit wins in TB. Tonight people picking Detroit...TB finally shows up for the first time since game 2 and lead 2-0 already. Now everyone will pick TB if they hold on tonight, watch Detroit play great if there is a game 7.

Big PP here for the Wings. If they can score they'll be right back in it.

Have not followed Wings. How are they in come from behind wins?
I would expect Bishop to be on after his last game.

There will be a game 7 with Red Wings and Tampa Bay. Book it.
Bolts 3 Wings 0 in 2nd period. Tyler Johnson all 5'7" is the star.

Bolts up 3-1 .PKs could not clear their zone.

Wings taking it to the Bolts in the 3rd. TB 3 Det 2
Bolts are not making offensive plays. They are dumping the puck in.
    Not a good strategy.

    6 minutes left.

    In 2nd period Isles 0 Caps 0
Isles only have a total of 5 SOG with 11 minutes to go in 2nd.

Caps get on the board late in the second and it's 1-0.

You watch this game, and to me it is clear the Caps are a better team and will be the tougher matchup in round 2. Simply a deeper more talented team AND they have OV AND they play cheap and for some reason get away with it. If it wasn't for the fact of NY/NY and the rivalry this wouldn't have even been a debate.

The next time OV gets called for a boarding penalty or a charging penalty will be the first. Someone needs to go old school on him and give him a passing elbow to his head and end his career. He's a great talent, but he's a dirty player that gets away with it because of who he is. If this was the 90s, he'd be in a hospital bed with his bullshit cheap shots.

As a Ranger fan, I am sure Washington will continue to cheap
    shot............. it's their way.

Rangers will need to shadow Mr.8, frustrate him......then you will
see him elbowing and ramming Rangers into the boards. If no one
calls him out .................give it right back.
