I think it's really hard to tell if he touched the plate.

He's batting .154 in May after a .177 April. Cashman needs to DFA this clown already and bring the kid up. You can't tell me he would be worse than this black hole.

Bad job not getting at least one more run that inning.

After 5 earned runs in 6 innings he's now 2-7 with an ERA of 5.67 & he's only earning 23M. What a steal.

It's the same script with Sabathia. Eventually he implodes even in a game where he's pitching well.

You know, Sabathia hasn't done himself any favors but would it kill Carpenter to get out of jam. He's an inherited runner's dream.

Meanwhile, Girardi really needs to shorten Sabathia's leash. He pitched well. Let him go 6 and end it. Seems like a bunch of decent starts where he was in just an inning too long. Either that of put him on the DL for 2 weeks to get some rest and cargo load.

Frustrating loss, and I'm exhausted…and about as productive as Drew with RISP.

Absolutely! And I know they're trying to get Refsnyder more time at 2nd before bringing him up as he didn't play 2B before he was drafted, but... come on...

    .

    Agree.
Carpenter is a gas can and CC at one point (lol), gave them 6 IP 3 ER.

He threw back to back change-ups to that dikhead Lawrie and the second one was hanging higher than the previous one.

"Everyone" but McCann AND CC thought it was a bad sequence.
His curve (his best pitch) was sharp all night and he throws the little rookie CF and Lawrie three change-ups ....leaving all three out over the plate.
He throws a first pitch change-up to Burns leading off an inning and the kid pulled it just over the 330 sign in LF...
....back to back change-ups to Lawrie....solo HR, and a two run shot ties the game.

I don't know who's dumber, CC or McCann?
Lets just hope McCann keeps on hitting, and, we might as well get used to it....as long as CC isn't getting consistently knocked out of games by the 5th inning, they're going to keep sending him out there.

And NO, I am NOT saying he pitched well last night.
He blew a 3 run lead to a last place team.

.154? Good....let him keep sinking....I have a feeling we'll be seeing a "move" in a week or three where the Yanks pull him or maybe (I doubt it) release him like they did with Roberts last year and call up Refsnyder and/or also go with Pirela.

Problem is, I think .......and I hope I'm wrong, Refsnyder might be more harmful as a defensive 2b than Drew is as a .154 hitter.

If Refsnyder has been "average" at 2b down in the minors, and this includes turning the DP....he could be here sometime soon.
I don't get to see the reports and evaluation sheet. Lol

Also, the Yanks might rightfully feel they may need a sound veteran glove to backup SS/2b.
