Signed from Nashville. You know there will be more.

    It's spelled Stalberg.

Stalberg for 1m is a great signing IMO.....Even moreso if he replaces Glass. But they need a top 6.........

Split time in the AHL last season... Could have a Pouliot type season.. Not sure where he slots with Glass under K.. As usual, Sather..excuse me, Gorton will take a while... I'm thinking a trade goes down

Agree. For 1.1 on a 1 year deal, nice signing. Let us hope this means Gorton has a deal to dump Glass to some stupid team.

Have to love morons on HF. No matter who the Rangers sign. He sucks. Terrible. I heard the same crap about Pouliot. He turned out to be a stea. Heard the same thing about Stralman who couldn't make the Leafs crap defense. He turned out to be a steal.

Numbers wise this guy is 100 times better than Glass. He's bigger. He's 10 times faster than Glass. Way I see it is if this gets Glass out of town, it's brilliant.

Is Stalberg going to fill Glass' role? I would love to see him on the 4th line with Moore/Fast/Lindberg, but I think he'll be a top 9 guy. Unless Fast will be and the 4th line is Moore/Glass/Stalberg.

I dont know what they see Stalberg as. He's big and fast but he is not a fourth line player. He's also no longer a top 6 player, and another lefty. Very confused and hopefully theyre not done.

That's why I think he is a 3rd line guy not a 4th line guy and I am confused by the Glass references in comparison to Stalberg. Fast should be a 4th line guy. Etem and Stalberg I see 3rd line. Still need a top 6 winger, unless they see Etem or Stalberg or Fast in that role, which I don't.

If I had to guess, of the current options they proably like Miller in that role.

    Nash-Brassard-Zucc
    Kreider-Stepan-Miller
    Stalberg-Hayes-Etem
    Glass-Moore-Fast

If that's our opening night team, I'm not happy.

If AV sticks with the playoff line and puts Fast with Kreider/Stepan, then one of Stalberg, Etem and Miller will be playing with Moore and Glass and will be useless.

Yeah, that would be my guess for the lines right now...and I am not happy either. Fast needs to be on the 4th line. Miller the 3rd line. Etem OR Stalberg rounds out the 3rd line. The other on the 4th line with Moore, Fast, and Lindberg in the mix. Issue is Glass may be here due to his contract, and maybe they like Fast in the top 9 which bumps Stalberg into the 4th line mix.

Anyway you slice it those lines are not SC caliber IMO.

    Stalberg/Moore/Glass/Lindberg 4th line mix?

Fast and Etem in the top 9?

Will Lindberg even be in the 4th line mix for sure?

    No spot for McIlrath?

Can they find a way to rid themselves of Glass?

A lot of questions to be answered still. A dman deal has to happen because we are still short upfront, unless we believe in Miller and Etem and Fast that much to all be top 9 guys...

Those lines will fill out more if they add a legit top 6 guy either thru trade or free up money somehow and sign. Adding someone like Justin Williams will push the right players down where they belong and this team looks a lot better on paper

And that's what it is all about Dis. Need to add a top 6 forward. Let's see if they do.

I like this signing, as Stalberg can put the puck in the net, and allows you to move Fast down to the 4th line where he belongs. They have too many bodies though with OL being ready, so maybe there's another deal to be made.
