...time to call up Judge. Beltran is hurt and may go on DL so give the kid a chance. Let Beltran heal up and then trade him before the trade deadline and get rid of Garrett fucking Jones too.
...Judge is better defensively and I don't think he'd be any worse offensively. There's gotta be a team/s out there that could use a bat like Beltran's and while I realize he's no longer great, he could still help a team like the Angels for example...I mean anyone could do better than Matt Joyce.

    ...just spitballing and pissed.

As the old Irish priest said proper talk indeed! Beltran approach on fielding his position seems akin to Cano running the bases. When he struck out against the Angels in game one I got pissed enough to throw something thru the computer screen. I'd like Judge up there myself, liked what I saw of him in ST, a young hungry ballplayer we'd be able to cheer for. Look at New York National and see a flood of young pitchers arrive, look around at teams bringing up their talented prospects. Then there's Cashman pimping aging has beens and demoting the talented guys. And why isn't Girardi going over Casmans head to the Steins about this shit. Talk about the crap in Aneheim who cares, the Yankees have the same God Dam problems.

I can't see much wrong with giving Judge a good looksee for the next couple of weeks.
Yanks maybe are concerned if he does have a very tough time it could kinda hurt his confidence and slow up his development.

He is only 9 games into AAA.
As for dumping Jones, not so sure about that....who then can fill in at 1b/RF/DH?
I guess they can put any warm body in those spots....but will it be better than Jones?

Just for argument's sake... How often is there success in bringing a kid up from AA straight to the bigs? Cause that's effectively what would happen as he has very few games in Scranton under his belt...

Okay. I guess they can do that....but what happens if Tex goes down with a DL injury....Arod at 1b for a prolonged period ?....including alot of lateral movement and he isn't exactly familiar with the position defensively.

I can see using Arod very sporadically at 1b as Girardi may try and tweak the lineup here and there while giving Tex a day off.

...backup 1Bmen are a dime a dozen and one be had with a simple phone call...besides, if Tex goes down with an injury it won't matter anyway because the Yanx would be screwed while he is out...they'd not only lose his offensive production but his defense as well.

He's no doubt saved Headley alone AT LEAST a half dozen errors.

...yeah, he makes the whole infield much better. And as far as fielding his own position, it's very hard to get a ground ball by him.

I do believe players of Judge's caliber, can make the jump from AA-AAA, and pay out dividends for the move. Aaron's more than holding his own in the Minors, hitting 49 RBI"s so far this yr, with a .284 avg in Trenton, and .303 in Scranton........it would not hurt to give the BIG guy (6'7") his try.......!!

Thanks for the correction........I had never heard of Pigmeat Markham, until now, or back then when Flip plagiarized their line.......
