That's a steal for the Rockets. Essentially a 2-year deal for KJ.

I was hopeful until we got harkless. I've been indifferent since, although I still would've liked it.

Yeah we would have had to trade Harkless IMO. Packaged with another player. Not a bad idea if Neil thought McDaniel was better. But they look to be pretty comparable.

I wonder (and I may be the only one outside of Greece to do so) whether this means the Rockets will just let Papanikolaou go. They've got three people ahead of him now, and his $5M for next season will be guaranteed if they don't release him before the season (I think). Are they in luxury tax territory yet?

Fucking Rockets are stacked again this year...

    Howard / Capela
    D-Mo / T.Jones / Harrell
    Ariza / Dekker
    Harden / Brewer / McDaniels
    Beverly / Lawson

They kept everyone except Josh Smith, and added Sam Dekker, Montrezl Harrell and Ty Lawson...

Also, you just know they hid McDaniels on purpose, playing him only 33 minutes total... I am not saying he will be a star but to have him as a 3rd stringer at the 2/3? Shit...

Seeing how the West is gonna be a bloodbath again this year, I am kind of content with sitting this season out.

They signed Marcus Thornton too. Do the Rockets know they can play just five guys at a time?

If Lawson is a back up, shit will hit the fan in Houston.

1 yr minimum contract... seeing as how they had a ton of injuries last year, why wouldn't they have signed him?

Who knows, maybe he will be just happy to get out of Denver and play on a contender. Also, I imagined he would fit better coming off the bench but also playing alongside Beverly and Harden in a small ball lineup, with total minutes per game in the high 20s/low 30s.

He doesn't seem like the type to accept a lessor role.

I hope this means they don't have room for Alan Williams...

Yup, my interest in KJ definitely waned after we got Moe. But it wouldn't have hurt to have two athletic, high potential, wiry wings to lock up our opponents. Especially on that contract

I thought we already had two in Aminu and Moe, or are you thinking KJ in at the 2?
