Spineless liberal run ESPN fired Colin Cowherd today (even though his last day was next Thurs since he already announced last week he was leaving the network - LOL) for his comments about Dominicans.

I am so tired of the PC police in this country largely driven by the liberal media. What Colin said was 100% true: Basically that people from the Dominican Republic which is notorious for being extremely poor and 40% of its kids don't even reach high school has major issues around education and the kids generally don't have the advantages to learn like other more advanced countries.

I get that people probably don't like Colin - I happen to like him a lot - These knee jerk reactions where everyone is offended by everything is making this great country a pussy nation.

Ok rant over. Yes it's super slow on hockey news right now

ESPN is a joke. Same network that fired Simmons gave Bruce Jenner an award for "courage" and let DDD post his nonsense on our old ESPN message board at will. LMAO

Agree 100% Dis. It is a joke, and as you said yet another example of what this country is turning into. If you say ANYTHING that can be seen as negative against ANY minority group of people you are out or "best case" ripped apart. Sad state of this country.

This is what a lot of people want though. "Free" stuff, anyone who disagrees with them must be destroyed, and the government owes us. It is sad and ridiculous.

One side note on Cowherd, he did announce earlier this week he was leaving ESPN, so it was pretty "easy" for them to cut his loose now, but still the overall point stands...you cannot say anything about anyone without being ripped.

    Angers me.

Yup. Don't let facts get in the way of arguments when left wing media outlets want to vilify people and play the race card.

    Facts:

25% of Dominicans don't make it past 4th grade due to such high poverty
The DR was ranked 101st in the world by country in illetaracy
High school enrollment in the DR is 61%
Of low income DR residents only 12% finish high school

Cowherd is spot on. Despite these huge disadvantages the Dominicans have been successful going to MLB. Jose Batista is all up in arms. I would be curious to know what his education level is....It's not their fault it's a product of poverty and the system in their country. Doesn't mean it's racist to point it out.

Another example why espn is a wuss corporate
disgrace. An organization that never had a spine/
backbone to be objective. Total subjective
    bullshit.

Outside of the 30 for 30 series ESPN has been lame for 25 years.

And BTW...you are SO right about Jenner. To me that was my last straw with ESPN. Courage???

He filmed everything he did and is making MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of dollars off of his "transformation". Where is the courage? What am I missing? Good for him becoming a woman, doesn't make a drop of difference to me, but she gets the COURAGE award for that?

To me it cheapens the award, and quite frankly is a slap in the face of everyone who has won it before her. But that is typical ESPN. Last year Michael Sam won it, so the trend was started then.

ESPN doesn't give two shi*s about courage, they only care about ratings and press coverage. It is a sad joke. I didn't watch one second of the ESPY's, and since they have been on combined maybe I have watched 6 minutes total, but to me it was a total disgrace that Jenner won the courage award. You showed such great courage Jenner. Is it hard to be spoiled and live in a fantasy world making MILLLIONS AND MILLIONS of dollars to film your courageous transformation...LOL.

Cowherd is a no talent is is a moron on an immense level. He should have never had a job in the first place. He's dumb as dog shit. That being said, I agree 100% about this politically correct, pansy country. I'm dead serious when I say this. People should start looking at another country to live in. Believe it or not, there are now better options out there to live than this country which is quickly turning into a joke. With technology, you can get any sports you want in any country. So, moving is no longer a big deal.
