The team in definitely under achieving being 10 games under 500 but I wonder if the contract given to Cano played a part in it. I mean 280 games to date & only 28 HRs & 140 RBI to show for it. Not exactly the numbers he put up with the Yankees.

Not a surprise. He hasn't really turned them around in his 8 year tenure there and it's an organization which hasn't gone to the playoffs since 2001.

I remember watching the news conference when Cano was signed, Seattle GM JZ looked like he was one of the last of the great train robbers but what he did was sink a notch below Cashman on the GM stupidity list. End results Cano ain't happy, GM JZ fired, JZ the Mogul laughing all the way to the bank. Who will "respect" Cano if McClendon is fired? Got a feeling there will be similar actions in Chicago, Washington, and if I were Ausmus in Detroit I'd bee watching the door as well. Every day I hit the ESPN headlines hoping to see that Cashman got the ax.

It's just to funny to see so many teams picked by the "experts" before the season started struggle so badly. Boston was supposed to win the AL East, the White Sox were a pick by many to complete in the central and the Mariners were supposed to be a top team in the West. The Nationals were picked by many to be one of the top teams in baseball and the Mets are running away with things in that division.

So much for predictions. And the Cespedes pick up by the Mets is really looking like a great move, So far 8 HRs & 22 RBI since joining the team.

With the pitching they have the Mets are in a good spot and will actually be a tough playoff team. Pretty unreal when you consider what was going on with the lineup and Terry Collins earlier in the year.

Meanwhile if the Cards play .500 ball the rest of the way they still win 100 games. They have had some year.

Gotta laugh at the "experts" Verlander throws a one hitter and all of a sudden the Tigers will roar in '16. Wake up Little Susie, Max is gone, ditto price, Sanchez has problems and I see Greene is on the DL for the remainder of the season. Yep there are some real shockers this season.

And again no one has picked the Giants & yet despite missing 1/3rd of there starting lineup (Pagan, Panik & Pence) they're still in the think of things.

to bad the M's didn't keep Zduriencik zrudsnik??? --- zuhdduryaneicieviksy, just another day to let Zu-cik eliminate Lloyd.....

I couldn't agree more on firing the one Mgr, who is to inexperienced as a Mgr. to be one; ie, The constant "Deer In the Head Lights Look". Tigers Fans were calling for His head, before they played the Opening Game last year.....

Your right Vic, almost all MLB analysts, (the majority), had the M's for the AL West, Nats for the NL East, and World Series bound, versus, the lowly stinking Cleveland Indians......

WTF is with Tom Verducci? I read his SI article the 1st week of the Season, and His picks were M's in West, Indians win the ALCS, to play the Nats in the Series..........now he say's M's, WTF....? Verducci has forgotten his way home......

And thankfully in some mysterious miraculous way, the Yanks are kinda doing better than many experts thought they would.....and they're doing it without a GM?
    Is this possible?
