Adrien “The Problem” Broner (31-2, 23 KOs) gave an over-matched Khabib Allakhverdiev (19-2, 9 KOs) by a 12th round knockout on Saturday night to win the WBA light welterweight title to win his fourth division world title on Showtime Championship Boxing at the U.S Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. Broner, 26, was hitting the over-matched Allakhverdiev at will with punches in the 12th round when referee Harvey Dock stepped in and halted the fight at 2:23 of the round.
