...the only team that I can see Tex agreeing to wave his NTC for is Baltimore, which is where he's from.
Well with Chris Davis not expected to be resigned it may be a good move, especially if the Yankees agree to pay half his salary.
What should Beltran say? .....should he jump off the bridge? Maybe he should've said Baltimore won one of those games this past weekend on a bloop single, a bunt single and two wild pitches one of which went off McCann's glove? He's thinking like a PLAYER- not a fanatic....err..I mean "fan". He also knows there's at least ONE more game left to decide THIS season.
Honestly, I wouldn't see the purpose of not only sending him to a division rival but also paying half of his salary on top of it.
...considering the total package of offense and defense, I think the O's would definitely be improved with Tex instead of Davis.
I really don't see the Orioles being a threat to anyone even with Teixeira (no pitching) so I'd pull this off if I could.
In the case of Tex & CC, affected by injuries at this point in time may have a say on their futures in the Game. At this point the Yankees are stuck with them for next year. What I am not sure of is if these injuries prevent their return does insurance pick up from there and free up the organization money wise. Almost assured that A=hole will be back taking up a God Damn roster spot smiling and talking shit.
Considering A-Rod is only good for 3-4 months of the season maybe he shouldn't begin his season until early June.
C'mon Rick, I know you got Drew's Pic as your Facebook background photo.........(hehehe)..... Hell, if the Yanx even offer him $100.- to play next year, there will be riots in YS, even if he's a bat boy...... I pity the poor fool of a Team that takes on this head case....!
Some team will pick him up for late inning defense but it wouldn't surprise me if he'll hold out for a team that he can start on. My guess..............that'll be a long wait.
again, not to encite, but i see just the players are being discussed in this thread, any thought that if we had a new coach, that that mite just do it, or do you feel girardi is that good of a coach that he's not the one that should be moved, and i'm not disaggreeing with anyone as to the players that schitt the bed in listening to fan today there were a few call ins today not in favor of joe, and francesa went off on them....
Pasta its no secret that I'm not a fan of Girardi's either but seriously I don't care if you put Casey Stengal, Earl Weaver, Sparky Anderson & Billy Martin all rolled into one, if the players aren't hitting there's really not a whole lot that can be done. Sure you can improve the running game, play a lot more small ball & work with the players to go more the other way but they have to get on base first. JMO.
rick, i completely understand what you are saying, but its kind of strange that everybody is playing bad at the same time, i never expected 1 thru 9 to be hot, but you have to have at least 2 to 3 to carry the offense, tex arod and b4 the injury it was ells getting it done, when they went down, nothing was done to make up for it, no one picked it up for these guys either... thats really hard to accept.
If the Yankees truly are looking to the future, it is time to eat some of those outrageous contracts and unload the senior citizens. There is not a team out there to pass on a Bump, Gardy, McCann, Beltran, CC, even A-Roid if the Yankees eat most of their salaries.............the air around this team will definitely start clearing. Now, is there anybody out there who wants a pretentious GM?
