Andrew Gross: "Lundqvist in net tomorrow night vs. Jets. Glass remains in lineup for Fast. McIlrath in for Boyle."

Love it. Jets are a big, physical team. Let's see what Dylan can do.

Smart move by AV. Boyle healthy scratch...could be the first of many for him if McIlrath takes the role and runs with it.

AV is GLASSstruck. They guy has cement hands which are
useless for any offense. Maybe they'll be good for fighting......
    yeah, right!

Glass actually had a scoring chance against Columbus. Last time they played the Jets before the playoffs idiots like Byfuglien, Thorburn, and Lowry were trying to hurt guys. Dont worry, Glass may play regular season games but he'll be a scratch come playoff time

i dont remember Glass playing with Stalberg and Moore. He played with Moore and Stoll. I doubt AV breaks up the Miller-Lindberg-Stalberg line. They have been playing great so far. I like the idea of Moore and Stoll playing together

Wonder if they'll try and deal Boyle early in the year even if they eat some $$. If McIlrath can be decent enough to split time with Diaz or Skjei maybe they can get by. Skjei is ready imo.

Except Boyle holds the cards, a full NMC kills a trade possibility. Can he be moved im sure, but he doesnt want to move.

Boyle will be more amenable to a move if he starts sitting out more often. Bet he'd rather pay his last season than sit.

I'm not going to read anything into sitting Boyle. It's
part of the plan to rest older players. Boyle was pounded
by Columbus' big forwards. Winnipeg's team is bigger....
MacIlrath gets his initiation. That's all I see.

Lundy, he holds the cards regarding trades. But I think if big mac plays well and he starts sitting more regularly he may decide he'd rather play his last year as opposed to watching a lot of it from the press box and be more receptive to a move.

I'm glad McIlrath is in. However, I really don't think Boyle has been as bad these past 3 games as people are making him out to be. I mean Brooks eviscerated the guy in his dumbass column today. He hasn't been great, but I dont see the walking vulnerability that everyone keeps talking about. I think Girardi has been 10x worse so far this year, but it's 3 games.

Dan Boyle is going to be the whipping boy because (1) people blame him for losing Stralman, which I dont think is fair at all, and (2) he's blocking a much cheaper, former first rounder from seeing any minutes. I feel for the guy, he took less to come here, but now that we have Yandle he just isn't important enough to justify his cap hit and minutes.

Said it for over a year now. Gorton needs to trade Glass and rid his coach of his stupid, useless, toy. I wouldn't even run it by AV. Just get rid of him. Glass playing over Fast 2 games in a row is an embarrassment.

Good luck to Big Mac at home vs Winnipeg.

[ too bad team lost, AV will probably bench Mac for a while]
