My uncle and his son (who is 15) and I are planning to see a movie this weekend, and I want to know what movies we should consider? I haven't really seen any recently that I'd rewatch, so I need some help... :P

...wish I could recommend a movie or 2 but I usually have to do like you're doing and ask people on here what to watch...Totus is usually up to date on this kind of stuff....maybe he'll chime in.

You mean a Movie Theater Movie? I assume?

If that's the case, and having a 15 yr old with you, you all might enjoy "The Walk" with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
    • [In 1974, high-wire artist Philippe Petit recruits a team of people to help him realize his dream: to walk the immense void between the World Trade Center towers.]
If violence isn't a problem for your nephew, I enjoyed "Black Mass" with Johnny Depp, playing Whitey Bulger, revealing his life, and his ambush that took him down in Santa Monica. Nothing near as great as Scorcese's "Good Shepherd" or "The Departed." Not bad a flick tho'.

Of course IMO, anything with Robert DeNiro is worth watching, and the trailer's for "The Intern" look pretty good.

Here is a link of all the new movies that are out, and playing.

Once you visit this URL, you can hit "watch trailer" , which is somewhat helpful.....Let us know what ya'll see, after you've seen it, and give us a full blown summary, ie Movie Review........(chuckle):cool2:

The Movie "Woodlawn" could be a helluva sleeper, and has a timely message to deliver, ..... during real hard times in the South. (I lived in Shreveport from over 4 years from 63-64; 67-69, seeing 1st hand what Civil rights were about, ntm-the JFK assassination. Imagine walking into a Sears, Penny's or anywhere else, and seeing Black and White separate Entrances, Bathrooms, drinking fountains, and eating areas, IF there were any at all).

    • the story of Tony Nathan, the former pro football player whose story, at least as far as the movie is concerned, begins in 1973 when a move to desegregate schools in Birmingham, Alabama found him sent to Woodlawn High School, where his faith was instrumental in reversing the team's fortunes.
Here's the link, and 'watch trailer' page:

The pleasure is all mine. I was more a movie buff many moons ago, and enjoyed good movies. I left that mark on my younger Brother, and Son, who took the movie ball and ran with it, amassing major DVD Libraries.....

again, no problem. Totus see's some pretty good movies as well, and has inspired me to see one or two, ie, Insterstellar, and American Sniper...

I'm here for ya' for the asking........:tiphat:

"The Judge" with Robert Downey Jr. & Robert Duvall was excellent. And "Jurasic world" was very entertaining.

just to set the record straight mr global moderator, i wasn't banned at the rangers board for as you say being harsh to another poster, i was banned for being "negative" about how the rangers were playing, which they were at time.

Secondly, you claim to have warned me before you had me banned on yankees board about attacking another poster? i would love to know who that was cause from what i remember, i put no name to any poster on any post, are you a mind reader? so, i was warned as you say, and from my understand made no other post about any topic, then i'm banned. you can't make this stuff up, ohh wait i guess YOU can!

i happened to have to read the response by BLG in the thread YOU decided to place in full view for all "3" yankee board regs stating "pastafazul has been banned" for being harsh towards another poster. thats a flat out lie.

BLG was spot on with regards to everything he posted, which i see has since been deleted, and its no surprise to me since you have absolutely embarassed yourself with the way you handled the situation.

you have about 8 posters who post on the yankee board , to which maybe 5 show up daily, 3 of them do not agree with banning a poster, thats myself, blg and totus... lol, is that how you build a site?

i broke no rules, never attacked 1 poster on here.. on a site where you allowed vulgarity, and nakeidity, you ban a poster who has a different opinion, and that is it!

on top of all the BLG said about you, most of all, you are a LIAR!

I've explained the reasons for the moderator team's actions more than enough times. If you would like to know why you were banned, please take a look at your post history.

Please note that your banning was not my decision. You were banned because of the agreements made by other moderators and a senior administrator.

If you have any issues with the verdict, you are completely within your rights to send me a private message.

This topic serves no purpose any more, and does not need to remain open.

For the record, posting publicly about bans has been standard. We try not to operate in the shadows; we like to keep the community updated when necessary.

You'll also notice that the staff issuing the ban does not make him/herself public about the issue because some people may come to hate them forever...

Case in point, it sucks being a mod sometimes, mainly because we sometimes deal with paragraphs about how we suck at our jobs. :)
