DOHA (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia's justice ministry plans to sue a Twitter user who compared the death sentence handed down on Friday to a Palestinian poet to the punishments meted out by Islamic State, a major government-aligned newspaper reported on Wednesday.

"The justice ministry will sue the person who described ... the sentencing of a man to death for apostasy as being `ISIS-like'," the newspaper Al-Riyadh quoted a source in the justice ministry as saying.

The source did not identify the Twitter user or the possible penalty.

On Friday, a Saudi Arabian court sentenced Palestinian poet Ashraf Fayadh to death for apostasy - abandoning his Muslim faith - according to trial documents seen by Human Rights Watch.

Fayadh was detained by the country's religious police in 2013 in Abha, in southwest Saudi Arabia, and then rearrested and tried in early 2014.

Saudi Arabia's justice system is based on Islamic Sharia law, and its judges are clerics from the kingdom's ultra- conservative Wahhabi school of Sunni Islam. In the Wahhabi interpretation of Sharia, religious crimes, including blasphemy and apostasy, incur the death penalty.

In January, liberal writer Raif Badawi was flogged 50 times after he was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 1,000 lashes for blasphemy last year, prompting an international outcry. Badawi remains in prison, but diplomats say he is unlikely to be flogged again.

They should at least read Plato's Euthyprho, Phaedo, Crito, and Apology before they actually execute the poor man.

Just good Muslims doing their thing! Shit!

We sold a Freight tracking system to a trucking company based in Riyadh about 1974. I went there to help them through some issues getting the system up and running. Damn what a place!
I thought to myself, said self! Don't come back here!!.

So I moved on from Freight systems to Banking Systems and one of my guys went to Ankara to help the Bank there set up our Bank system. He was the only one on our team that could
communicate with the Turks, he was Austrian but spoke Turkish also. Anyway he ran into some problems, so he talked me in to coming to give him a hand. Not so wonderful there either.
Not too long after that, the Saudi Bank in Riyadh bought our system and we needed to send a guy there. The Austrian got the shaft again but I told him, don't even think about it, I am not
coming to Riyadh. ( I don't like those people!!)

The Austrian had also written the Olympic Scoring system so he had a ticket to every Olympic games for several, I don't know how many. When the Seoul games time came, I went along to carry his water and what ever. Dang that Sabas was good! What a treat to get to see him do his stuff, like take a three point shot, follow it in, and stuff the rebound with the opposing team just awe struck!

What you realize from that article is tht ISIS simply uses the violent enforcement methods that they've seen all their lives in the Saudi government constructed by Western rich guys. They know no other way. If you want to make Muslim individuals less violent, tell the CIA to stop creating violent governments.

Algeria and Egypt idealistically elected religious governments, so their U.S.-funded militaries overthrew them and returned to executions and torture. ISIS wants to run out Western economic interests, so instead of openly opposing that goal, Western propaganda focuses on ISIS tactics, which are the same as the governments the U.S. keeps in power.

Propaganda keeps the Western media outraged about ISIS tactics but ignoring ISIS economic goals, other than the platitude which says, ISIS' goal is to create a Muslim state.

I don't think that is going to do it. Talk to one awhile, see what you can glean.
