After 12 years and two Super Bowl titles, Tom Coughlin is no longer the coach of the New York Giants. Coughlin resigned after meeting with Giants ownership Monday, one day after New York completed its third consecutive losing season. Coughlin, 69, coached the Giants for 12 seasons, leading them to two Super Bowl championships. Tom Coughlin was short-changed by their "free ride" GM, Jerry Reese and their top draft scout. TC just was never given the talent for this team to make the playoffs.
Giant season end press conference said it all. Mara praises Coughlin. GM Reese praises Coughlin and was incomprehensible as to Giants 6-10 season.....I said it before, and I'll say it again.......Giants' owners should have made a complete cut with those in charge with players' operations. The GM and head of scouting should have been shown the door.......this team needs a complete makeover.
