Bakersfield's Terrico White Named NBA Development League Performer of the Week

    Terrico White of the Bakersfield Jam was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, Feb. 1 through Sunday, Feb 7. The honor is the first of White's career.

    White (6-5, 190, Ole Miss) helped Bakersfield to a 3-0 week, averaging 29.7 points (third in the league) on 52.5 percent shooting (32-for-61) to go with 6.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals. He connected on 12-of-25 attempts (48.0 percent) from three-point range.

    On Feb. 2, he scored a season-high 37 points, including eight three-pointers, and added eight rebounds and four assists in a 132-111 victory over the Oklahoma City Blue. On Feb. 4, he recorded 31 points and five rebounds in a 117-197 win over the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

    White was selected 36th overall by the Detroit Pistons in the 2010 NBA Draft. He is averaging 17.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists this season.

    Other top performers considered include Bakersfield's Cory Jefferson and Xavier Munford, Delaware's Russ Smith, Reno's Ricky Ledo and Sioux Falls' Jarnell Stokes (on assignment by the Miami Heat).
