The Seahawks indeed addressed what appeared to be their most obvious need, taking Texas A&M offensive lineman Germain Ifedi with their first-round pick Thursday night. The Seahawks made the pick at No. 31 after trading with the Denver Broncos. For moving down five spots, the Seahawks acquired an extra pick in the third round, No. 94 overall. That gave the Seahawks 10 picks in the first and five in the first 97 — Nos. 31, 56, 90, 94 and 97. It’s one of only three times in franchise history Seattle has had five picks that high in the draft. Seattle had five of the first 58 picks in 1977 due to the Tony Dorsett trade and eight of the first 93 in 1976, when as an expansion team it received extra selections. The 6-foot5¾ , 324-pound Ifedi had been a popular player predicted for the Seahawks in mock drafts, generally considered as a consensus top 50 pick. - See more at: http://www.seattletimes.com/sports/...ain-ifedi-with-first-round-pick-in-nfl-draft/
