The Calgary Flames have fired head coach Bob Hartley, the team announced Tuesday morning. In a brief statement, the team said it had “relieved Hartley of his coaching duties.” It added that associate coach Jacques Cloutier will also not be returning to the team. In four seasons as the Flames’ head coach, Hartley’s record was 134-135-25. In the 2014-15 season, Hartley led the team to its first playoff berth in six seasons and its first playoff series win since the team reached the Stanley Cup finals in 2004. The performance earned him the Jack Adams Award, for coach of the year. - See more at: http://calgaryherald.com/sports/hockey/nhl/calgary-flames/flames-fire-bob-hartley
