Well, seen I've enough of this imbecile. Time for him to go. He obvious has no clue how to be a GM. There has to be a lot better options out there. This guy is a bumbling buffoon.

I anticipate the, "Fire Gorton!" chants starting very early next season at MSG.

The chant should be "Sell the team!" Because the only way this franchise truly turns the corner and wins is with a new owner that is willing to remove any and all pieces of Sather and his crew from this franchise....from Hartford to NYC. This franchise, not just this team but the entire franchise, needs change. Dolan will never sell the team, so the only hope is he sees the light and removes Sather, which is doubtful because he only cares about $$$ and the Rangers are still bringing it in.

You can just shut the internet and draft off because this tool of a GM won't do a freakin thing. He has no balls.

Dump, your post/thread are a bit too early. The draft is not for another 8hrs so let's see what he does before it and even during it before passing judgement. I do agree if he just sits on his ass through this that he's an idiot.

I know last year didn't go as planned but how can anyone say this org is clueless with all the success we've had the past few years? we went through an awful period late 90s into early 2000s but since we've been good and contenders the past few years.

Dont bother. Some people are only happy when they're miserable.

I've seen a ton of quality hockey the past few years and I've really enjoyed the ride. Hoping we can get over the hump sometime soon. For those who want to watch teams that are truly clueless, the Oilers could use a ratings boost.

I knew last year that the team was going to get bounced in the first round. Played way too many playoff series the past 4 years. They need more of a killer instinct and I'm not sure the players they have have that

Sorry but trading first round picks and prospects all the time was what ruined the organization in the past. They have gone back to that. There was no reason to give all they gave for St. Louis when he said he would only play for the Rangers. Tampa had no leverage but Sather sucked them off. There was no reason to give all that up for Yandle who had always had low goal totals and a lousy defensive game. The Rangers overpay constantly in trades at the deadline. It's incompetence.

I want to see things done fast also but we need to at least wait thru the draft and the first couple of weeks of free agency when everything is usually done to get a line on what the team might look like this year. My biggest beef at the moment is AV is still here. If we do nothing from now thru first few weeks of free agency I'll add gorton to the list.

Not sure where you saw a ton of quality hockey the past couple of years. Teams are measured by their playoff success and the Rangers had one run. In 2014, they fought desperately thru two 7 game series and a six games series where Lundqvist was incredible. Since that run, they have quickly dropped back to mediocrity with long term deals (with NTC) handed out and no help for the top six forwards. Prior to last year, it was expected they'd add a top six yet the roster was pretty much the same into camp. Year after year, this management group has done little to address the top team needs. In 2014 run, they were shut out 3 times in playoffs (twice on home ice). In 2015, shut out 3 times in playoffs again with 2 on home ice! Certainly, a shakeup in the top six was needed and nothing was done ! This year was more of the same and our D aged about 4 years in the first half of season. I dont need to remind you of the outright failure of this managemnt group going back 15 years. They got close in '14 but made no roster adjustments since and have fallen right back to mediocre. It sounds good to blindly say we're keeping our home grown guys !!! It'll bring the Rangers right back to where it started with Sather a long time ago- ....everything he has/hasnt done to build out a roster has been a MAJOR FAILURE !

ECF conference finals 3 of four years, including a SCF appearance, and you dont think that's quality hockey. That is just laugh out loud funny.

I dont think anybody here even likes the Rangers.

Go ahead, tee off on me for being a blind homer. There's gotta be another place to talk Rangers with guys who actually like the team.

People can't have it both ways. I am pretty sure everyone loved both the St Louis deal and the Yandle deal. Dump hated the Staal deal from the start so I give credit there but St Louis was coming off a scoring championship even though he was old and he was a proven playoff performer. Nobody wanted to give Cally $7m a year. Yeah the trade looks bad now given St Louis went from 39 to 50 years old overnight but if you liked the trade then you have to accept it now.

Its hard to win a cup. The Rangers came really close for a good 3-4 year stretch. The Kings series could have gone either way even though we all knew it wasn't an ideal matchup. It sucks now because they came close, mortgaged a lot of the future to win but at least they tried to win a cup, especially with the deals prior to last year.

I am sure Chuck isn't here because this board is just not very interesting anymore. Here's to 2016-2017 and some impactful moves to improve this roster starting today.
