Thought this factoid deserved its own thread. Now the lowest economic class will have even less access to watching Trail Blazer games here in Portland. This is a huge fail and while I doubt the franchise will provide an answer I think we deserve one (WTF?). My in-laws live off social security and a small retirement, my father-in law has cancer to which most of his expendable income goes toward. When I see him he is always excited to talk about the last Blazer game (which in his mind is the last one he saw on KGW). Anybody else effected by this or know anybody who is?
FREE TV IS THE BEST. fuck cable. gonna cut that shit in October (I have a promo going so I;m only paying about 40 bucks a month until then for a $100 package but its on a contract.
My parents. They can only get Satellite where they are, now only games my dad can watch are national.
Yes, the KGW games were all I could get. But the question I have is, why do they do this??? Can't come up with an answer, except they don't know what the hell they are doing!
Nope. I've been watching Sling TV on my Amazon Fire TV device and running it through a router with lower bandwith and it's been running fine.
If you have an Amazon Fire device, why don't you just sideload Kodi on it and get everything for free. You have to nerd out pretty hard but once it's set up, it's a breeze.
Raw deal for people that don't have alot of money like me I will keep my dish hopefully someone pull there head out of there ass.
Yeah. I have a lot of friends who work irregular hours and occasionally turn on the Blazers a few times a year. They aren't hard core but this option allows them to continue to follow the team. I have a Playstation and only get MLB.TV because it's convient. I will not do the same for the Blazers. I've always felt strongly that professional sports acts a pressure release valve for the masses. If it is not at least available to all at even the most basic level..... (Think about somebody with schizophrenia in a understaffed group home watching the Blazers as maybe his only joy in life.) There is then no reason for pro sports to exist. Sorry.... that's just the way I feel.
If some of the many newly christened homeless now living downtown want to make a human ladder..... I know a good hole in the wall of a PDX sports bar. I'm told the blinking lights from the poker machines can be annoying, but you can get uses to them after an hour. Just take 10 minute turns. There's also left over Hot Wings in the dumpster if they get hungry. Sports entertainment can be fun even without a budget. You just have to think outside the box.
