This would crush the UFC if he fails a test. If true, I think even Nate may be juicing b

Another new champion. I can hardly believe the year we're having.

Ian McCall was paid his show and win money. Justin Scoggins won't get any. Not sure what happened to Scoggins but that is a major setback for him. These guys could use guaranteed deals.

I think with Robbie's UFC tear, people forgot how average he looked in SF. Congrats to Woodley. That was a nasty right hand he landed.

Woodley wants money fights and has called out GSP and Nick Diaz. He told Wonderboy to fight Lawler, because he isn't interested in fighting Wonderboy right now.

Timing seems absolutely perfect for Nick Diaz / Robbie Lawler II.

    Demian Maia is fuming, somewhere.

I don't like the trend of new champions trying to decide who they will fight before they've even had ONE title defence.

Alvarez and Woodley should be fighting whoever is the top contender (Khabib & Wonderboy).

Gives me the impression they want to make money ASAP because they don't expect to hold on to the strap.

His late career surge has been remarkable and he sustained it longer than I expected.

I think Lawler's timing was excellent. He peaked right when there was a good opportunity.

I love the idea of Lawler/Diaz 2 next but supposedly Diaz has no interest.

Hard to get much out of the main event. Woodley did what he normally does. Lawler tried to be patient but ended up letting Woodley control the distance. I thought we might see Lawler wrestle for the first two rounds to try and wear Woodley's arms out. Not exactly sure what his strategy was but we didn't get much time to see it play out. At first it looked like a quick hook but on replay Lawler was all kinds of fucked up. He gets rocked in all his fights but he was well out of it when Big Dan stepped in. Woodley might've done him a favour by sparing him getting pieced by Wonderboy in four months, who, as it is, is a nightmare matchup for Woodley, like MacDonald was.

I thought KK's performance was alright but she was greatly helped by the fact that Rose's punches couldn't bust a grape. Rose's timing and combinations looked pretty good and KK kept her hands down low and ate a lot of jabs and straight punches. After the first few she must've felt that Rose couldn't hurt her and kept being loose with her defence. I was impressed by KK's grappling defence as Rose is crafty but couldn't get anything. I don't like KK's chances against Joanna but this has been a crazy year for title fights. They've gotta do that fight in Poland, right?

I completely missed Ellenberger/Brown. Brown has definitely come back down to Earth after an improbable 7-fight streak, losing four of five once he started facing top competition in the division. Ellenberger was fighting to keep his job and did just that. Both guys are going to be kept around to test prospects, something top-10 rankings gatekeepers. Jorge Masvidal called out Matt Brown and that's a fight I'd watch.

I think the UFC is still trying to get something out of Erick Perez for the Mexican market. He's very average. Having that fight (vs. Rivera) and Serrano/Benoit on PPV was far from the best they could do. They should've had Hamilton/Grabowski open the PPV. Two low level, very light weight fights to start the card is a grinding beginning for the PPV. I realise they were planning DJ/Wilson Reis but you could tell from these two fights that 201 was just an in-between PPV and they were willing to put just about anything out there to get it over with.

Nikita Krylov has quietly put together five straight wins at LHW. At 24-years old he's one of the very few guys in the heavier divisions that could be considered a prospect. If he fought OSP again I think the fight would be competitive. Jimi Manuwa might also be a good opponent for him. Somebody ranked.

    Not really a memorable event.
