    ...hope Cashman has learned his lesson on giving out multi-year deals to players on the wrong side of 30.

    ...Encarnacion be 34 next month and is seeking a 4-5 year deal @ $20+ Mil per year...the Red Sox have already bowed out of negotiations with Encarnacion...the Yanx should do the same.

    ...always liked Matt Holliday...prudent move by Cashman because all things considered, one year of Holliday is a better option than 4-5 years of Encarnacion.

    Jansen or Chapman? Yankees looking at one or the other. Chapman will cost more but they will not lose their pick in the draft if they sign Jansen they lose it. I like them both not sure who I would be more happy with.

    As the great @Joelsherman1 opined, #Yankees are indeed interested in Luis Valbuena with Holliday signed. Talks "ongoing," but price is high

    Also Chapman wants a six-year deal. No way would I even go five. I say go after Jansen then.
