Yeah I know, this is a stupid thread but once again Mavsfan seems to think Parker is better than AI so maybe if he hears AI is better than Parker from more members than me he will stop letting his Iverson hating get in the way of his judgment.

Damn, that's funny Parker doesn't have anything on Iverson.

Parker is more efficient because of the system he is in... but Iverson is easily the better overall talent. Give AI some time in Denver, and he'll be putting up very efficient numbers (think 20-25 points on 45%+ shooting with 8-9 assists on top of that).EDIT: Give me Iverson in this one. The only way I pick Parker is if I'm building a team for the future since he is younger.

CB4, post in the all era mock!I'd rather have Parker if I were starting a franchise. Iverson is easily the better scorer.Parker is a better point guard, he's a better playmaker, and he might be a hair faster. But Iverson is easily the better player.

Parker efficient because of the system he is in? I highly doubt that. Manu isn't too efficient. Very rare you get a small man that shoots 52.7% from the field while averaging 20 points a game. The spurs get killed on the boards though these days along with Manu's game deteriorating. These things have caused Parker to get underrated on this board. Iverson is not efficient. How does it help the team to shoot more shots if you aren't making them?

Iverson is the better all around player. And, beats Parker in almost every aspect of the game. But, to start a franchise. Then yes Parker would be the better pick.

Well, Iverson is obviously the better player, but Tony will be better in a couple seasons. Tony is a more efficient scorer, even with his inconsistent jumpshot. He is a better playmaker, better in the open floor, better at getting to the basket, a better defender, and a better rebounder. AI is a better scorer in general, and maybe a flashier passer.....I think AI is better just because his scoring ability is so great, but the difference isnt that great. If Tony played for the Sixers and was the 1st option for the past couple years, I bet anything that he would put up 25 a night.

I don't know how you can come to that conclusion. Now parker might be a more willing passer but does that make him a better passer? It's very very hard to compare the gap isn't that big.Better defender? Now come on man. The spurs rotation is just 10 times better than the nuggets/sixers. Their just a better defensive team than any team Ai has played on. Iverson himself is a mediocre defender and gambles alot And every Time I watch Tony parker, I dont' see him putting in alot of effort on d. When you play on a better defensive team your defense looks that much better.

Right now Allen Iverson is the easy one to pick but Tony Parker has improved every season and once he is able to hit his mid-range jumpshot this guy could be as good as A.I. Tony Parker can get to the basket at will and is an overall better driver than A.I. although he can get to the basket easily as well. Tony Parker might be the fastest player in the whole league but they both have tremendous quicknes. Allen Iverson has Parker beat in scoring and assists but other than that Tony is better than Allen in every part of the game including rebounding and defense as Iverson rarely tries. Right now Iverson is better but in the future I see Tony Parker will be a more effective player than Iverson as he will keep learning the game more and more and also he will lead the Spurs to some more championships.
