http://www.mmafighting.com/2017/2/1...t=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter At long last, Georges St-Pierre appears headed back to the UFC. St-Pierre, the former UFC welterweight champion, is on the verge of signing a new multi-fight contract with the promotion, multiple sources confirmed with MMA Fighting. After months of on-and-off negotiations, both sides have agreed to terms on a new deal, MMA Fighting has learned. While St-Pierre's return fight has yet to be finalized, the current plan is for him to compete later this year. A return in the third quarter of 2017 is currently being targeted, sources say. UFC officials declined to comment on the impending deal, though, UFC president Dana White, and others, have dropped some clues as of late.
Michael Bisping is very much interested in fighting GSP, specifically for the payday. TBQH if he is going to come back he needs a tune-up. A fight with a middle of the road welterweight like Neil Magny makes sense. Been a few years and we don't know where GSP is at physically or mentally.

Trepidation is the best word to describe my reaction to this news. He's not the man he was in 2013. He has said before that were he to return, he wouldn't be focused on the belt. I don't think that is possible for him. He is too much of a competitor. Even Anderson Silva is back on the wagon, trying to get a title shot.
ugh, just feels like we're gonna see Washington Wizards Jordan when GSP returns. So vs mediocre talent he'll look good and vs top tier talent if his wrestling works he'll not get starched and if it fails he may get mauled or embarrassed. either way all this return will do is tarnish is legacy.
