You know, there is this impression that presidents have to be diplomats. I can attest to statements make by my father when he was in the secret service stationed at the Oval Office ante room, president on the phone with world leaders was anything but diplomatic. Dad said swearing was common, including f bombs. Before he died, he liked Trump because he saw him as a guy that would do the job behind the scenes even if he didn't sound polished on TV. I wish he was alive to see this and to get his take on the last month.

But this country is now more divided than ever and and has been for awhile...and I'm sorry but IMO, trying to mute certain parts of the media and being uninformed on issues and making ill advised/incorrect statements while continuing to woo his Twitter followers is not the way to go about doing that. ...every President in our history has had to deal with negative press but none of them have ever behaved like Trump is behaving and different points of view must not be arbitrarily muted just because he or we may disagree with them and it's not like the liberal press is making things up, but instead they are simply expressing their slant on things as they see it, and conversely, the conservative news outlets do the very same thing ...that's the way it's always been and the way it should be. ...His first month has been anything but impressive and Trump still has a lot to learn and...and a long way to go before I acknowledge him as a good leader.
