Wow! Can't believe this happened. A few friends of mine worked the broadcast. Texted with them and they said EVERYBODY was freaking out! Actually just watched Moonlight on the flight here to Detroit, and it was DAMN good. Props to them on the crazy W!
A little late, but I figure this meme was appropriate. Don't give those people any more credit. They're already elitist assholes. Now you're going to make them think they actually work hard like normal citizens.
If this is one country - every vote should be worth the same. It is absurd to think that based on place of residence - the value of one's vote changes. If we normalize the votes in the country to the entire for each state and the number of electoral votes it has, it basically means that a vote in California is worth 0.94 of a vote while a vote in Wyoming is worth 2.87 votes. Now, let's look at the economy - California residents are responsible for 20% of the GDP of the country, despite the fact that they are only 10% of the population - this basically tells the people of California - you are responsible for twice as much of the economy compared to the rest of the country (per person) - but your vote is worth less. This is a classic case of taxation without representation... You might not like the fact that California voted against your opinion, which is fair enough - but the current voting system is discriminating based on geographic residence, which is exactly what the revolutionary war was all about. California does not want to speak for the rest of the country, it just wants to be represented like the rest of the country, not like a forgotten cousin that does not matter.
Steve Harvey and the cast of Moonlight should've rushed the stage and chair shotted LaLa Land's people. Then they could've spray painted nWo on their battered bodies.
