Gropp with 3 more points last night. Now 18 points in his last 6 games. 37 points in his last 20 games. He's insanely hot. Now with 61 points in 51 games. Finally, a good sign from a forward in our system.

Gropp with two more primary assists last night Now up to 63 points in 52 games. Remember dealt Hagelin to move up in the draft. While Hagelin certainly had a big part in the cup win for Pitt, he's gone back to sucking now and being overpaid. 19 points this year.

Halverson with 42 saves last night. He's slowly, starting to figure out the AHL. Shesterkin signing a 3 year extension was stupid. He might have a hard time getting a job in 3 years here if Halverson keeps improving.

That whole Hags thing worked out well. We moved up and got Gropp, who has potential to be real good, and we now replaced Hags + by signing Grabner. For one season, last season, we missed Hags badly and he was huge for the Pens as mentioned, but now that was a great series of transactions for us. He is not worth a 4 mill cap hit.

Everybody bends over for Shesterkin but IMO, what Halverson is now doing is a lot more impressive. The KHL to me is the most overrated league in the world. The league pretty much has 3-4 top teams and all the rest freakin suck. A lot of old players also. The AHL is the best league in the world preparing players along with the Elite league IMO. The Pack freakin suck. So, if Halverson can lift that team, it's pretty damn impressive.

Good night for most prospects. Gropp with another G and A. Kids is absolutely on fire. Gettinger had a hatrick. 26 goals now. Was suspended for a little while for an after the game fight. Kovacs scored. Finally. Only his second. No coincidence it was when Stromwall finally came back. Halverson let up 6 goals so he followed his great game with a bad one. Fontaine with his 20th.

Gropp with 3 goals and 1 assists last night. Can't wait to see this kid take the next step. Pack continue to suck as they get shutout because their coach is an incompetent moron. Maybe one day Sather will put down his cigar and fired that asshat.

I think Day was a steal in the 3rd round, another big dman to go with Graves, just needs to keep his head straight and he could be on the big team. Speaking of Graves why won't AV give him a shot instead of opting for the tinier Kampfer?

I like Day a lot as well. Could be a steal if we keeps it together, physically he has all the tools. If he doesn't pan out, well at the end of the day he was a third round gamble, not something to dwell on.

Regarding Kampfer over Graves, I have to assume that it's because Graves is a left shot. If we played him over Kampfer right now we'd have 6 lefties in the line up. Not exactly a recipe for success. You're already seeing teams dump heavily on our right side to make our lefty-playing-right side dmen turn their backs to move the puck. He'll get his shot.

Graves is 6'5' 230 and won the AHL All Star hardest shot contest 103+ mph, I'm not saying insert him as a starter just give him a little taste of the NHL. Don't know if it's AV or the front office but it seems a waste for Graves finish out the year on a crappy Hartford team when the Rangers are in a relatively low pressure situation playoff wise.

Its a head scratcher that like Panze said we are locked into 1st WC and Graves hasn't been up for at least a couple cups of coffee already. Staal could use a couple games off at a time here or there to keep him fresh for the playoffs.

Graves is an RFA in '18 so I don't think NHL games affect his status until the Rangers resign him. Ryan is in a similar situation to Skjei who only got an opportunity due to Boyle getting hurt with 7 games left last year. Skjei is also an RFA in '18. I find it hard to justify bringing up a guy like Kampfer over Graves but those are the games AV likes to play. For years most on this board have agreed that the Rangers need to be more physical defensively and they need to sign a guy with a big shot to help the PP. Graves is big, physical and has a 103+ mph slap shot - don't see what AV's missing here.

Looks like they signed a player from Minnesota..5'10 forward who's Lou Nannes grandson. They said Skjei and Stepan recruited him. 19g this year.

Signed Penn St. dman Vince Pedri. He was their best blueliner as a 23 y/o soph. Played in the USHL for a few years after hs in Minnesota.

I didn't see anything on R or L but he looks like a pretty decent prospect. He might be ready to play by next year though the spot may not be there.
