    and unicorn rite after that:)

It's funny how this team came back under sea level after Nurk went down. I mean, they could show some heart while waiting for Nurk to help them beat GS in first round... But somehow they seem to be bunch of loosers again and I hate it. Don't want to see them in playoffs without Nurkic, I'm not gonna watch it, it's pointless. I really start to think - however stupid that is - this team don't deserve Nurk. I want (almost) all of them gone to screw other teams. Mayers is only consistent player, every other player's performance is flip of the coin every night. It's like having Batum everywhere, but without defence. It's horrible.

I think that's exactly his point. Picking 2 picks higher barely increases you're chances of coming out of the crapshoot that is the draft with a legit player. The difference between 14th and 16th is minuscule, if at all.

Hell, Nurkic was a 16th pick. Harkless was 15th. The players picked before them? Adreian Payne and John Henson. Hardly anything worth writing home about.

Also, look at last year. Maker, Prince, Papagiannis, Hernangomez, and Yabusele got drafted between picks 10 and 16. Maker, Papagiannis, and Yabusele were all projected at the very end of the first or in the 2nd round. Maker and Hernangomez were thought to be going 20th or lower.

Henry Ellenson, Skal Labissiere, Deyonta Davis, and Timothe Luwawu were all consensus top 15 picks.
    Ellenson went 18th.
    Luwawu went 24th
    Labissiere went 28th
    Davis went 31st.

So there's no point in getting 14th over 16th, because teams picking between 12th and 15th could very well make wild picks of players that we have no interest in. It'd be like Mathias Lessort, Rodions Kurucs, Isaiah Hartentstein all going between 10th and 15th, with Justin Jackson falling to us at 16th (Ellenson), Terrance Ferguson (Luwawu) falling to us at 20th, and John Collins (Davis) falling to us at 26th.

I agree with this...UNLESS the team has identified a player they REALLY want at 14 (or whatever) and they think they have to move up to get him. In that case, even though it's still somewhat of a crap shoot statistically speaking, you have to trust your intel, expert opinion, and gut, and go get him.

Yeah, moving up 2 spots isn't tough though. If whoever we want would be that much of a difference for us, them we shouldn't mind parting with something like the CLE pick.

Hopefully this is taken care of quickly and Dame can rest or at least play very light minutes the last 2 games.
