    ...final spot is a toss-up between Crabbe & Turner.

    It's funny, because I most want to get rid of one or both of them, but I want to get some value out of them. And they both provide our team with more positive contributions than any of the other remaining players. I'm curious to see if Turner improves during his second year with the team - I don't know why, but I'm hopeful that he will.

    Yeah but your question is so hypothetical. They would be signed before any possible expansion draft since they would not have it between the real draft and summer league.

    Edit: OK I see now that the article wants us to go back in time to before the draft

    "Usually an expansion draft would occur before the regular draft, so we’ll assume Zach Collins and Caleb Swanigan are also protected under this rule."

    You leave guys like Crabbe and Turner unprotected because the odds of an expansion team taking them is slim due to contracts. Keep in mind that only one player can be selected from a team.
