The weakest overpaid link. Anyways can a Hall of Famer/Legend/Superstar fix him? I'm just wondering if there is a last hope for him, because whoever on here said he doesn't belong is looking smart at this time. I really don't want to fault the effort as I'm sure he is giving his all yet it ain't good enough. Is embarrassment a new motivation? As in 19 year olds nipping at his heels. I'm hoping someone like a Lambeer can toughen him up. Let's think out of the box.

Is the 7 incher plump and girthy (a classic Tuna Can Tommy), or is it a regular Bic Pen Benny?
And how are the veins? We need the details.

Meyers problem is his shoulder. After all those injuries to it, he is terrified of hurting it again, as it will likely be career ending.

In that sense, I can't blame him for being scared.

BUT.....this is the N B Goddamned A. Professional Basketball at the highest level. The very nature of the game involves using your arms and hands to make plays.

If he can't do that, then he's no place on a basketball court. At least not one at the NBA level.

I used my "WTF to English Translator" and I believe that the OP is asking whether Meyers' career can be resurrected if we brought in a big man coach like Laimbeer, or if the embarrassment of being out-played by the 19 year-old Collins might be enough to do the job. I do believe that both Meyers and Collins are taller than 7 inches though, so I'm giving him a pass for a typo there.

The shoulder was his issue last year. He could not touch weights the entire off-season or during the beginning of the year as he recovered and he got noticeably smaller up top. The mental side has ALWAYS held Meyers back, but last year was even worse due to him being held back physically. I expect him to come back this season and play to the level of his $10M contract which will look much more tradeable by the trade deadline/offseason. He's packed on some noticeable size if you look at his IG stories every day, he is eating like a cow and working out non-stop.

I have some connections to him and his wife, and they honestly don't expect to be here long-term after how its gone the last year or two. I think once he plays back up to a 10/5 with 3 point ability level he will be easy to move.

Meyers needs to dye his hair black and turn heel. Dunk on small children to gain confidence. Encourage the fans to boo him. Drain three pointers and steal James Harden's stir the pot celebration.

Getting Lambier as a big man coach or being inspired by the play of Swanigan is all at the behest of Meyers himself. Meyers is stuck in his own head. He has allowed the fear of failure to blanket him. Its mind over matter and in Meyers case matter has consumed him. The only way for Meyers to succeed is to get on that court and play without reservation. He needs to forget about his pretty hair getting messed up, or his teeth getting knocked out, or the discomfort of physical contact. Meyers needs to stop being a pussy.
Maybe its as easy as taping a bag of lucky charms to the bottom of his truck and telling him its heroin and that you've called the cops like in Talledega Nights. He just needs to find his speed. Problem for Meyers is maybe he just wasn't good to begin with. Maybe he needs a new team and a fresh start. Who the hell knows.
I'll tell you this I grew up playing street ball on the local court. I'm not a big guy, but I've gone up against guys more than twice my size and defended them successfully. Its all in the minds eye. There is a toughness required that Meyers just might not have. I hope it is hiding there just under the surface waiting to be revealed whether he stays here or not. He's a good guy, I'm just not sure if he's willing to get into the car with the cougar, im not sure if hes cut out to be a basketball player.
