The new trailer for Justice League is out and it doesn't disappoint. Well, maybe a little. Supes still hasn't shown his face, though at the end Alfred is talking to someone offscreen, which could very well be supes. Alfred says, "He said you come. Let's just hope your not to late." Who said Supes would come? Bruce Wayne\Batman? How did he know? I have been wondering about the whole resurrection of Superman. How will it happen? Will he be Evil? How will he be changed\different? I have heard many theories. The Codex could somehow be used to revive him. One of the mother boxes perhaps. Maybe he is merely in a Kryptonian coma and is slowly healing only to bust out of his grave towards the end to help the team kick some Steppenwolf ass. Maybe A.R.G.U.S. the government agency from suicide squad will dig up his body to study it and end up reviving him. The future vision scene in BvsS where Batman is in a post apoctalyptic Gotham\Metropolis (which are somehow now right across a small body of water from one another) is accosted by an evil Superman who just about kills him before he wakes will surely come to fruition, won't it? Does this mean Steppenwolf will awaken Superman, turn him evil by spreading rumors about the death of his mother and use him to do his bidding? Or kill her and blame Batman. Surely, Batman can growl "Martha" again and snap Supes out of it. Henry Cavil did tweet a photo of a black Superman suit. How do you guys think the resurrection of Supes will play out? Do you think it was him off screen at the end of the trailer? Does the funeral of Clark Kent mean Supes will no longer carry on with his alter ego Clark Kent(This could make things interesting)? Or will Kent magically appear in Perry Whites office claiming he been investigating clams in the Bahamas and be revived as well?
The background sound at the end of the clip sounds like the noise the flash makes when he visits Batman from the future in BvsS. I was wondering if it could also be Green Lantern.
I got into Marvel Comics as a kind in England, but DC always left me cold (except I had a collection of classic Bob Kane Batman that I kind of liked). I think the problem is that the DC characters were all cooked up in the 30s when superheroes had to be paragons without any real lives apart from Superhero-ing. Stan Lee's genius was to make superheroes human, so that the powers are almost a sideshow. Also: Superman can just do too damn much. If you can even reverse time if you fly fast enough, then what could possibly threaten you? Batman is more interesting, because he's just a normal guy who has gadgets and knows MMA or whatever, but they've made him too dark now. Where can you go after Nolan's version? Blame Alan Moore and Frank Miller.
Having said that, Marvel is really milking it now. That Inhumans thing looks stupid. May never forgive them for firing Edgar Wright. Or Sam Raimi, for that matter.
Was thinking about Superman's return again. We know he will be evil as Henry Cavill posted a pic of the black Superman suit. A suit that should be familar to you both from the comics and from Man of Steel where it is worn by Zod and his cronies. So where would Supes get the suit, but from the wrecked Krptonian ship. So either He is revived in the ship by someone or he is still in the grave regenerating, meanwhile lex luthor who has escaped from prison uses his dna as he did zods but instead of making another doomsday creates an evil clone of Superman. Who the JL believe to be the real one gone bad, before the real Supes resurrected comes into the scene and kicks some ass.
The only way I could see Supes becoming evil without being cloned is because his blood mixed with Doomsdays when they got lanced by the kryptonian spear. Then maybe Lois lane calns him down or Batman grunts out a Martha.
