http://www.tmz.com/2017/08/10/zach-randolph-arrested-for-weed/ Probably more to the story than the headline implies. Sounds like he's still a dipshit.
Well, weed isn't not getting ones shit together. I'll wait and see. I'm sure he's rich as shit and buys quantity so that's where the Felony was mistakenly leveled of intent to sell. His lawyers will get that squared. The rest is hopefully other people. I see nothing the the article suggesting Randolph was creating the disturbance or vandalism.
I could care less about weed, but it's like Scottie Pippen said, if you want to party, show some sense. They were reportedly outdoors making a lot of noise in a public crowded place. Smoke in your own home or a friend's home and you probably won't get into trouble (although with Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III saying marijuana is top priority now that could change).
The most damaging part is the quantity. Evidently enough to tag him with felonious intent to sell. He should argue that he's a big guy and needs that much personally. If he was a nobody he would probably be going to jail for some time, but being a rich NBA-er, he will walk with nothing. I really don't care what happens to ZBo, but hate to see the wealth disparity change the outcome. People complain about privilege. The #1 privilege I see in this world is money or no money. Everything after that is minor by comparison.
Same here. This wasn't about him smoking pot or not, it's about him, being in his late 30's, still acting like he's in his late teens. I get staying true to ones roots, etc, but there comes a time when you have to realize "hey, I'm an adult, I can do this shit at home"
I don't know what's more asinine, Zbo partying like this, or the fact the Grizz already announcing they were retiring his number.
This. I do not think he has changed much. Memphis just did not care what he did off the court. Pot laws are pretty ignorant though and could not care less how much Z Bo had. Still needs to be smart as his window for making big NBA cash is closing.

It's an interesting defense. "I had no intent to distribute. I had all that weed because I smoke A LOT."
