Wonder if they'll end up with Kerfoot or Butcher.

I'm thinking Kerfoot is more likely as they need a bottom line type, plus they now have so many young dmen Butcher probably wouldn't even be interested.

I'll say one thing.........I will need a roster sheet to know who is on this hockey club this year.

New name for Nash...........Rick " Just Missed" Nash. Been watching replays of some Ranger games
from last season. I have heard at least several times the 'just missed' tag on Nash's goal attempts.

Surprised Gorton hasn't moved Holden yet but I guess I shouldn't be. This is the point in the season where all the crap teams somehow think the reject defenseman on their roster are actually good. Then by about game 30, they realize their team and defenseman suck again. Just waiting for the trade where AV forces Gorton to trade Graves for a center because he wants to put another soft, puck moving midget on his defense.

have been a rangers fan for a long time, not a trade prospector, nor a prospect follower, at this point, the rangers will win cup when no one expects it!

With McD, Shatt, Smith & Skjei they have the potential to have a great defensive unit if Graves is on 3rd line, only a dunce like AV would think otherwise. They have too many dmen now so I agree that some type of trade has to happen. I think Zban will be fine as #1, he certainly couldn't do any worse than Step on face offs and was on track for a career season before the broken leg. Hayes moving to #2 makes sense since he had a good rebound season last year, just wish he'd grow a sack and take advantage of his size. I think Andersson has a good chance of making this team since AV has indicated he wants JT to stay at wing.

If Day has a great season next year, I would move McDonagh who they can't afford unless they move a big forward. If any of the young lefty D guys have a great year, McDonagh probably should be dealt for a top 10 pick and a good NHL ready forward prospect. He's a 1 year rental so he won't bring back what Stepan did. I think they choose a center with that top 5 pick. I see Andersson move as a wing down the line. However, I would not put it past Gorton to keep McD0nagh and potentially dump Kreider like Stepan before his modified NTC kicks in next year. Kreider in his last 17 playoff games has 5 G 1 A. That blows. If he has another inconsistent year and crap playoffs, I see him being moved. He can probably bring back the same return as Stepan. Point is, they are now starting to rebuild the forward group as well. Buchnevich and Vesey should see bigger roles this year. Potentially Anderson. Gropp is on the way. I still hope Lindberg stinks for Vegas and they try hard to bring him back here.

Is there any college player the Rangers don't want that they don't get? Being a first class organization that treats it's players like royalty pays off in these cases.

The Vesey-Harvard connection could help. No pressure either like their might be in his hometown of Vancouver.

That tells me he lacks a lot of confidence in his ability to win a job in the NHL on a good team. The Av's are complete garbage. He knew he could make that team.
