Get the sense AV wants to get rid of Staal and Holden. Said it for weeks. Would love to see Graves and DeAngelo as the third period. Might as well go young on D. It's the strength of the system.

I think Pionk has a real shot to open the year on the 3rd pair with either Staal or Holden. I can see them working with DA on his D for most of the year in Hartford. Bereglazov has his opt out so hopefully he dosen't wimp out if he starts in the minors. Graves is certainly a nice prospect as well but there's such a logjam until Staal/Holden are gone.

Pionk is a righty shot. Said to have a Weber like shot by those who watched him in college. Graves would have the second hardest slapshot if he played in the NHL right now. Been a while since we had D guys with shots like that. That being said. I see no jobs for Holden or Staal. I still think teams once they start the season will realize their D men blow and the Rangers will be able to move Staal with some salary retained. Holden will get dealt during or right after camp.

You would think Staal would be in his agent's ear and ask for a trade, Holden is young so he has value but I see no place for him. Way too many dmen in camp now.

I think Holden and prospect/pick get moved at some point for C help.

Anybody besides me thinks its ludicrous to play 6 PS games in 9 days and then have 9 days off till the season starts?

Every team in this league should play 10 pre season games, 5 home and 5 away.........in an 18 day
schedule. I do not know if practice sessions better prepare the hockey athlete.

Just some thoughts: Girardi will be on the Lightening D; Glass will be playing in Calgary.

Higher chance of injury in games that mean nothing. The Rangers need every last second of preseason to work on their PP!

I finally can watch a sport without a bunch of imbecile athletes crying about how white america is not supporting black criminals against the police. I'm sure they will complain about the ice being white and want it changed to gray.

I like the new slashing rule, not sure about the faceoff rule yet. The Rangers need to be more selfish and take open shots instead of attempting low percentage passes.
