One, Sam Bennett. Calgary has done their very best to ruin this kid. Rushing him to the NHL because that is what the incompetent Flames do. I think the Rangers could salvage him and get him back on track. I don't see him costing a ton at this point. I think something like DeAngelo and Desharnais would be enough. I doesn't matter where Bennett was drafted. What matters is he sucks there and it's not getting better. Worth rolling the dice on. Sam Reinhart is in rumors. He would be my first choice. He'll cost more. Righty shot. You're probably looking at a second, DeAngelo, Holden and Huska. Buffalo's defense is horrific. Their goaltending is suspect. They should be contending for the playoffs right now. He's not playing on one of their top two lines. Basically, he doesn't fit in there. I think he would be solid here.

I kind of like the Puempel for Sproul deal. Seems like he still has some upside and like Graves has a rocket. We certainly have a ton of D prospects to sift through in the next year or two.

The only way this deal makes sense is if the Rangers start making deals to trade away older dmen to give the younger guys real playing time. Otherwise it won’t make a difference and we will see Staal and the like clogging up spots that younger guys should be taking.

First time I would be open to trading Zucc. Probably in a substantial deal.

    Puljujarvi
    Yamamoto

    for

    Zucc
    Holden
    DeAngelo
    Nieves

I think you could get the Oilers to swing that. Puljujarvi and Yamamoto are both right handed shots. Nieves skating would probably flourish on great ice like the Oilers play on. The Oilers are desperate. Their fans are dying for a guy right now who can play on the right wing with McDavid. They are ready to win now after last year. Those are their last two first round picks. However, I believe this is a deal they have to make. I think they then look at dealing RNH for more wing help. I think Puljujarvi can play on our team right now. There won't be a lot of pressure on him. Let's face it. Zucc isn't exactly carry this team. It's worth the risk IMO. I could also see DeAngelo fitting in better in Edmonton. Especially on their PP. Here, he isn't needed on the PP. I would assume this deal would be contingent upon Zucc signing an extension with the Oilers.

Wonder if they go after Neal as a rental since LV will eventually fall out of it. He'd be a nice addition for half a year. You know Vegas wants more picks or prospects. Pouliot or Vrbata even.

Said from day one Lindberg would do nothing on Vegas. They were morons to take him instead of Raanta. Now is the time to bring him back. You probably could get him for close to nothing. They don't even have him taking draws there.

I wonder if they'll go after Soderberg who has a year left after the season. He'd be a solid 3C. Maybe you give up Z or Desharnais/Pick/Prospect

Nah. Too much money. Thought about him before they signed Smith and Shattenkirk. I've said it for weeks. Lindberg is doing jack in Vegas as I predicted. I doubt it would cost anything to get him back other than a mid level prospect.

I was listening to NHL radio and the guy was going on about how slow the Sabres are. What a mistake it was to give O'Reilly all that money. I would be they would have interest in DeAngelo. I still have no idea why this organization isn't converting him to a wing. You saw how bad our PP sucked when our only big right handed shot Zibanejad is out.
