Tubby Smith's resignation at Kentucky could have a significant effect on Simeon phenom Derrick Rose's future. Memphis coach John Calipari is considered one of the top candidates for the Kentucky job. Rose signed a national letter of intent with Memphis in November. He could ask to be released from his letter of intent if Calipari leaves, but those requests aren't always granted. ''I feel that if Calipari did leave that the university would show us respect and release Derrick from the letter of intent,'' said Reggie Rose, Derrick's brother. According to Reggie Rose, Derrick's recruiting would be reopened if Calipari left Memphis. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/452...ound_maybe_not/
Calipari wants to stay at Memphis for at least a few more years....Anyways, the future coach at Kentucky will probably be Gonzaga's Mark Few or Marquette's Tom Creanand he said they would go and see if they liked the new Memphis coach irst
No, he said it last year after he turned down NC StatePlus, why would he ditch a team that will be top 5 next year, he didn't do it to UMass. Calipari=Kentucky=highly doubtful
Yeah, Coach Cal said that hes not leaving. He also said something like "Kentucky is a better program than Memphis right?" And the reporters nodded their head...then he said "but are they are better team?"...and he said..."Im not leaving Memphis"And he has a Steakhouse here...he cant leave with a Steakhouse here...just aint right...lol.
