UFC 220: MIOCIC vs. NGANNOU 20 January 2018 | TD Garden | Boston, MA MAIN CARD Pay-Per-View, 10 p.m. ET Stipe Miocic (c) vs. Francis Ngannou Daniel Cormier (c) vs. Volkan Oezdemir Thomas Almeida vs. Rob Font Calvin Kattar vs. Shane Burgos Gian Villante vs. Francimar Barroso PRELIMINARY CARD FS1, 8 p.m. ET Dustin Ortiz vs. Alexandre Pantoja Islam Makhachev vs. Gleison Tibau Abdul Razak Alhassan vs. Sabah Homasi PRELIMINARY CARD UFC Fight Pass, 6 p.m. ET Kyle Bochniak vs. Brandon Davis Enrique Barzola vs. Arnold Allen
The top three fights on the main card are given's but I have no clue who will be in the first two. The card is extremely top heavy. Gian Villante has lost his last two fights and I feel like they'll save Dustin Ortiz for the main event of the free show.
Oezdemir is still in the process of being charged with a class-3 felony from the bar brawl last month. Not sure how this could affect his fight.
It's pretty obvious dude hates working for WME-IMG, but does not want to lose the company he helped build or the paycheck that comes with it. Awfully similar to the Eric Bischoff/WCW days once Ted Turner was no longer running the networks.

Oezdemir looked like shit but at least DC, unlike Miocic, went for the kill. Ngannou was the walking dead for four rounds and Miocic was conservative. Both fights had exciting first rounds and fizzled fast.
I don't know if Miocic was conservative or if he was just completely gassed himself. He hit Ngannou with some shots in the 1st couple of rounds that would have put out most human beings but Ngannou ate them easily. Stipe's wrestling was super impressive and his ability to control showed pure dominance. I don't think it was Stipe being conservative as much as it was Stipe being fucking gassed as shit trying to keep that gorilla (not a racial comment--sad I have to clarify that in today's world) sized man off of him early and then mustering everything he had to take him down multiple times. I wonder if Stipe was injured pre-fight as well...He made a comment post fight saying how it sucks getting old and he just needs to rest... I'm glad he fucking punked DFW like that. Absolutely ridiculous how DFW didn't hype Stipe up at all pre fight and how all the hype was around Ngannou...how the fuck do you treat your HW champion that way? Fucking joke. I loved the subtle not so subtle indirect jab Stipe through @ him after the fight too...when asked why he took the belt from DFW and gave it to his manager, Stipe replied..."I respect him and he respects me. That simple." Oezdemir looked like fucking hot garbage... DC looked dominant but I just can't accept him as champion knowing that there is a man out there who beat his ass twice...oh well..either vacate and move up to HW and fight Stipe or give Gus another go, please. I really don't want to see DC back @ HW though. Let Cain attempt one last come back and have him fight Stipe.
There were a few or more points in the fight with him on top where I thought if Stipe just keeps pounding the ref stops the fight but he would stop every time. The punches DC won with weren't shaking the ground. He was def exhausted but could've done it.
