Just thought I'd start this early as a prospect watch kind of thread.

I'll say it, I wouldn't mind if we ended up taking a chance on Grayson Allen.

Grayson Allen would give us 2 punchable faces. 3 if you include Leonard.

There are no WABC's in the first round, so I expect Neil to trade out of the draft

Lol come on man, he has a nice stroke and he is a super competitive defender to say the least. Easily replaces Pat and would likely be a better player. We need that kind of asshole too, the type of asshole you hate to play but love to have.

Doncic is that dude. The second coming of Ginobli.

Miles Bridges was my 1a/1b in this past draft with Zach Collins before he withdrew his name.

guys, how do you feel about drafting Dzanan Musa (18) (SF), projected as TOP 15 pick
I can see Neil Olshey going after him, he seems to like drafting white players and Dzanan plays SF position

    heres some insight about Dzanan:

Musa is definitely interesting. I've watched very little game tape of him so far though.

Some reports make you question his character and not sure if he has the physical tools to translate his current play style to the NBA. Unclear on how he projects defensively too. Good height for a wing but plays hunched and doesn't have great length or frame.

As far as the how things stand right now with other guys, I'm currently down on Bruce Brown and still waiting on Melton to play for USC . And after seeing how well we've been able to defend with Dame and CJ, I'm not pushing for that POA defense + shooting skillet from the back-up 1/2 as much as I was 6 months ago or so which is the role you'd hope those two guys would fill. Focusing now moreso on potential 3 and D plus wings which (like last year) there's unfortunately for few of.

Two guys that I'm locking in on right now...

Troy Bown: Slow start to the year and has underwhelmed from a defensive and athletic standpoint, but he still has a tools/age/skill combo that lets me think he has starter upside. And his character gives me the impression that he'll be one of those kids that develops at a faster rate than the average prospect. Very self-aware for his age, much like Donovan Mitchell.

Mikal Bridges: His stock is sky high right now, but I expect some shooting regression from him which could see him fall back into that late lotto to mid first range. Projectable+high value role gives him a very safe floor but creation limitations cap his ceiling.

If neither are available, Killian Tillie and Grayson Allen look like solid trade down candidates. I think both could be valuable role players. Nickeil Alexander-Walker is another kid I really like.

    Tank for Doncic!

Also, Marvin Bagley is my 1b with Doncic. This guy does everything.

Just get us a future HOF SF who is ready to contribute on Day 1. That's not too much to ask for, is it?

Watched him just kill UO in the PK80. Lon Kruger has a history of finding great guards.

#1 draft pick? Lol nah. He's probably slotted between 6 and 10.

Has some Steph Curry in his game. Definitely has potential to be a 20-25PPG scorer. Probably would make no sense for us to draft but could make Bridges fall to 9 or 10.

This years draft is so stacked. Trae Young is obviously better than Lonzo Ball was at the college level. Bagley, Porter, Doncic, and Ayton all would've went #1 last year. Then you have solid players like Mohamed Bamba, Collin Sexton, Miles Bridges, Trae Young, Robert Williams, Kevin Knox, and Jaren Jackson Jr. That's a great group of Top 11 Picks. Trevon Duval, Brandon McCoy, Wendell Carter and Lonnie Walker are very good freshmen that fill out the Top 15.

Walker is the one guy who I'd be eyeing. NBADraft.com has him as the 16th pick currently. Dude is a lengthy 6'4 guard, he is extremely athletic, can shoot the ball very well, and can handle the ball and has some craftiness. Would be a huge upgrade over Connaughton/Crabbe as a rookie IMO.

I know he missed a lot of shots in this game but watch the putback at 2:57

DraftExpress says he has a long wingspan and a long frame, which means who could hypothetically hold his own at SF at the NBA level. Has a ton of potential and could be a 6thMOY winner in 3-4 years if he puts it together. Has two-way potential as well. Seems like a perfect guy for Dame and CJ to mentor.

Walker isn't the same type of scorer as Donovan Mitchell, he's smoother and doesn't utilize quickness as much (Think slightly more CJ than Dame), but he's the same type of overlooked as Mitchell was IMO. I'm already sold on Walker for this upcoming draft.

He seems like a fantastic kid as well, seems very humble and driven.

His talent mixed with his personality makes me want him on this team. Would be the perfect 3rd guard.
