I got to give Perry one thing...he's got some nasty fuckin power and he's got one hell of a fucking chin. He ate numerous punches and spinning attacks without looking like he was out of it. With that said, he's nothing but a card filler exciting fighter who can end your night quickly. He'll never challenge for the title...he doesn't have the TDD or technical boxing skills to beat the top dogs. He has no defense and he just lunges in face first and hopes he can land a heavy R handed shot. Im very glad he lost...can't stand him.

Lawler is tough but he was outmatched technically against RDA. I don't know what to make of his performance. Maybe his career resurgence is over? Josh Emmett bought a ticket and won the raffle. Good for him. Should've put some money on him! Mike Perry is another tough but ultimately predictable fighter. He also gassed out against Ponz. Not really believing in him as a title challenger. Tex made short work of Misha Cirkunov.
I feel the real question after last night is how much of a title threat is Ponzinibbio? 6 straight wins, good in all phases of the game. Appears to mix up his strikes well. His next fight needs to be against a Covington or Till type. Outside of the Werdum/Tybura crap card in Australia the UFC has been putting on some entertaining fight nights since UFC 217. Last night was no exception. A lot of solid action. On a side note my son kept picking who was gonna win each fight last night based on who had the most messed up ears. Dude might be on to something......he had a better pick 'em record than me
I think Ponzi is overachieving. I don't see outstanding aspects of his game and his defence is suspect. Thompson will piece him up if they do that fight.
Apparently Lawler went into this fight with a fucked up knee? Where the hell was his corner...it was apparent in the 4th that he couldn't move at all. Throw in the fucking towel next time... Ponzi didn't look overly impressive to me...which makes Perry's performance even worse. I thought Ponzi was able to survive a couple of times. Other, more patient and versatile fighters would have capitalized on those opportunities. Still..can't deny his 6 fight win streak. Its time for him to get a shot at a WW in the top 5...I think we should see Wonderboy vs RDA next....so maybe give him Till, Covington, or Masvidal?
