Carmelo Anthony's return to Madison Square Garden was much like the 6 1/2 years he spent playing for the Knicks. A video played on the overhead scoreboard as part of a huge welcome from the fans and franchise, followed by a fast start that gave Anthony hope he could have everything he wanted. Then things fell flat until the finish.
