It must be really fun to be a Utah Jazz fan right now.

Meh, the Spurs didn't have Leonard or Aldridge. All these midseason streaks come to a crashing halt eventually.

Spurs could have 8 players out and would still be a very good team, that's the way they are. Jazz were on back to back too.

They've been incredible for the last two and a half weeks.

Chasing personal stats over team success is, yes.

Since when does getting a triple double mean you are “chasing personal stats”? Just means your are getting more shit done on the court than everybody else. Rather have my guys get double digit rebounds then stand around watching others work hard to get em. Wish we had a player steady getting triple doubles. Maybe we’d be a better team. Wish we had somebody averaging double digit dimes, maybe our guys would be getting easier shot opurtunities because of it.

But they blew out a healthy Warriors team by 30. They beat Toronto. They beat San Antonio earlier in the streak with Aldridge playing. Jazz were playing without Rubio tonight too. 7 of their 10 wins were on the road. It's impressive dude. But it's not like I said they won't lose the rest of the year. Of course they will. It's still pretty awesome.

I am pretty sure Jazz will end up with a better record than Pelicans. They are already 29-28 and will only get better.

Pretty amazing that a team can go on a ten game win streak and still only be ranked 10th in their conference. And the Lakers are quietly making a run too!

Sometimes people get triple doubles from playing hard, sometimes people chase stats. Reminding hard is something, going out of your way to steal a teammates rebound is another. Dominating the ball and only moving it when teammates are wide open leads to more assists but isn't better for the offense. Do I really have to explain what chasing numbers looks like to you?

Well they were 19-28 before the run. I hope they don't go the same route as Miami last year, although Miami's run was even more impressive because it started at 11-30 and last half a season.

Utah still have the time though. If they end up with something like 45-37, which is not really unthinkable at this point as 16-8 would not even be a huge shock, it would exceed what Heat did last season.

Hell, at this rate it won't even be a major shock if they end up with 47-48 wins which would be beyond spectacular. 47-35 would require 18-6 from now. That's doable considering their form and calendar.

I know their calendar by heart because I am playing with them in Start Today mode in 2K18, it's an easy one.

In the remaining 25 games they are playing:

    - Suns x2, Magic, Kings, Mavericks, Hawks, Grizzlies all at home - these are basically 8 extremely winnable games

    - Kings, Grizzlies, Pelicans, Mavericks away - due to being on the road it's slightly tougher but still not bad

The rest consists against mid range teams, with one tough trip to San Antonio, and trips to Minnesota and Golden State.

They can easily win 16-17 of the next 25. They are IMO 95% to make the playoffs, they have one of the easiest calendars in the NBA (along with 76ers).

I think Pelicans won't make it. They'd be sure to make it with Cousins but they've lost too much with his injury to recover.

It will be Warriors, Rockets, Spurs and Timberwolves with HCA, then Thunder, Nuggets, Blazers and Jazz. I hope we won't be 8th seed but I think we will, and that means going out to a Warriors in a 4-0 blowout.

Id rather miss the playoffs than get curb stomped in the first round by the warriors again. Getting destroyed by GS in the first round every year doesn’t qualify as gaining playoff experience in my book.

I hear there is a huge Bones following in Salt Lake City. They could use a fan like you.

I love Russ, but he blatantly camps out under the rim to get rebounds and ignores his man on defense. He's been burned multiple times by it. He also has yelled at teammates for not shooting after his passes because he wants assists. There's a reason why Oladipo is flourishing without him. Stats chasers must be a chore to play with.
