What he needs is a weak-side PF that he can dump to when doubled. You know, like he use to way back when he played with Vonleh.
So what. That's .595. We were .537 the season before, with a bunch of new guys not used to each other. Chris Craig is the voice of reason in this thread. I think I'll Like all his stuff here. So it's a coincidence that Plumlee played exactly the same way. Yes, it's too close to playground basketball. Slow down and play more efficiently. Need a new coach, chosen by a new GM.
Yeah, because we have guys like Layman, (had Vonleh), and Meyers instead of 30 year old vets. The latter would make it so we weren't top 5. How many of those guys of all-star potential? Maybe 1, probably none. I hate when people use the "were young so were fine being mediocre" excuse. These dudes don't have much growth left in them. We've had most of them the past 3 years and have seen 0 growth. And they were younger two years ago then they are now!
Honestly if we had a Mirotic type scorer at PF we could start Ed at Center and let Nurk walk unless he signed cheap. I’m not impressed with him at all, last year was a small sample size and he still got hurt anyway. Hes more physical when he’s jawing with other players than he his when he’s actually playing against them. A lot of bark, not much bite.
So I guess the rookies we draft this year and next year will be making such a drastic impact that it pushes us over the top? Because if Dame/CJ/Collins are untouchable there is no one else to trade for any value, and we currently have the 5th highest payroll in the league leaving us zero cap space to sign any difference maker(and the cap situation isn’t changing before the 5 year plan is up) so that leaves the next two rookies we draft as the main pieces to completing the rebuild. I’m not buying into that plan.
Right. Since Olshey refuses to trade anyone, the only changes will be in the draft. Olshey should get out of town before next season's financial hell motivates the lynch mobs.
