Yeah...TB, Baltimore, and Toronto will all be a shell of their fomer selves...and unless Boston's starting pitching does not improve over last year I don't see them being much of a challenge either...the Sox have several question marks.
Yeah, if the Yanx were going to sign a FA 3Bman, I'd probably take Nunez over Moose all things considered.
...if Boras is pimping Moose for a one year deal it would come as a surprise to me because Boras doesn't usually go that route...but then again, it's been an unusual off season for FAs so far. EDIT: I just read the article and Moose says he won't accept anything less than the $17.4 qualifying offer that was made by the Royals...sorry Moose, but you should have taken that QO when you had the chance. Considering the Yanx would also have to give up a draft pick just for signing Moose for ONE year... ...No thanks.
Good deal for both Hosmer and the Padres...front end loaded deal with an AAV of $18 Mil. Hoss is one of the better all around 1Bmen in the game. But wow, those Royals teams of just a couple of years ago are slowly being decimated by free agency. Wonder if they'll try to resign Moustakas now?
I'm really surprised that Boston did not make a serious run for Hosmer early on. Ah well, their loss.
For any of you who were not already convinced that the Mets' Sandy Alderson is not insane, I offer you this; http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/...-alderson-thinks-tim-tebow-play-major-leagues
here's an interesting historical stat: More men have walked on the Moon (12), than scored against Mo' in Post Season (11)....
this is almost enough to make me become thankful with our GM..... well maybe not!!! Let me rephrase that: I'm thankful Alderson is on the other side of NY...
https://www.chatsports.com/new-york...-reportedly-be-yankee-start-next-season-37483 I've always liked machado's game offensively and defensively, but I am not sure this is or will be a proper move on the Yanks part...
