While I don't disagree with Paul George making us a contender, it is still puzzling to me that OKC added both our off season targets to go along with the MVP of the league and a center who many on this board have raved about in the past, and yet they are not any closer to being contenders then we are. It's not like they don't have any bench with guys like Patterson, Felton, Grant, Ferguson.....
They had to gut their roster to get them. If we had convinced Indy to take Harkless and the picks, we would still have a pretty damn good roster.
I just don’t think that big three fits well. I’m not a Westbrook hater, I think he’s great and all but let’s face it, he hurts his team a lot with his decisions on the court. Melo is on the downside of his career. They just dont fit well. I think PG is gone to LA this summer. No way he stays.
They got rid of some good players for sure, but is their bench really worse than ours? Yes losing Robertson to an injury hurt, but they struggled with him as well. Maybe it is just not the right chemistry, or maybe someone is not as good as we thought.........
I think it's all of the above. I think their bench sucks and Westbrook is all empty stats. His last triple double he had 10 defensive rebounds and zero offensive rebounds. To me, that just seems like the bigs are boxing out and he's reaping the rewards.
God I love Lillard. Look at that face. Are we sure this guy is a big money NBA assassin? He doesn't seem like a dick at all.
