Nice. Andersson and Chytil aren't playing. Looks like they got the call.

7 games left for the Rangers. Andersson and Chytil better be up here and in the lineup tomorrow night. I would be a bit annoyed if they weren't in tomorrow night.

Excited for the draft and then the start of free agency. Should be a fun time for Ranger fans.

    Good news:

The Rangers have announced that Filip Chytil and Lias Andersson have been called up from Hartford.

Andersson and Chytil are likely to play in the Rangers final seven games of the season.

Lindgren sounds like a real gritty dman which we don't have right now, well, unless you count Smith.

I am pretty confident Buchnevich and Namestiknov will be dealt at the draft to move up. Kovalchuk is pretty much a lock here. I really believe if Tavares hits FA, he's a Ranger. Lindgren is a good bet to make the team next year since he's exactly what we lack.

    Andersson-Tavares-Kovalchuk
    Kreider-Zibanejad-Fast
    Vesey-Hayes-Zucc
    Grabner-Spooner-Nieves

    Staal-Pionk
    Lindgren-Shattenkirk
    Hajek-Skjei

I move Skjei down. Take all the pressure off of him and let him find his game again.

That's a playoff team. I think both Lindgren and Hajek win spots. Rangers are going to go super young on D as they should. I'm not so sure that Howden won' t make the team. He is mature for his age. 4th line will be Grabner-Howden-Spooner. I also think Howden is the type of kid that could handle 4th line minutes and a ton of PK time as a rookie.

    Without Tavares.

    Andersson-Hayes-Kovalchuk
    Kreider-Zibanejad-Fast
    Vesey-Spooner-Zucc
    Grabner-Fontaine-Nieves

    Staal-Pionk
    Lindgren-Shattenkirk
    Hajek-Skjei

Love Fontaine. Didn't score much this year in the AHL but he's a perfect 4th line NHL center. Fans will see that in time.

    No Chytil?

I still think it is a longshot at best for Tavares to be here. Could be wrong but I just don't see him leaving the Isles for their biggest rival when the money will be similar from many teams. No cap and we could offer at more I'd say maybe, but our offer will be similar to other teams and I think it would be tough for him to come here.

Andersson with a goal on his first shot in his first game with the Rangers.

Yeah i have a hard time seeing Tavares leaving the Isles for here, though i do think there's a better than 50/50 shot he's on another team next year. I wouldn't give up on Buch yet, and i think with Kovalchuk in the mix that may be a good thing for him. He hasnt scored much but i think he's been working hard. It's possible Namest could be moved or they extend him before FA next year. He's a solid guy to have on the middle lines.

Checking many nhl mock drafts. These idiots have Rangers picking smallish
D men under six feet tall! Just what the Rangers do not need! Enough with a
small defender. They have enough of small players........it makes the team inadequate
on the boards. Rangers need bigger, swifter players who can defend and act instead of
    always reacting and chasing.
