NYK fired Jeff Hornacek Orlando fired Frank Vogel Charlotte fired Steve Clifford The Bucks have an interim coach, Joe Prunty The Suns have an interim coach, Jay Triano Memphis has an interim coach J.B. Bickerstaff Who will be fired next? Who will fill the vacancies? Will the interims keep their jobs? Will the Blazers two sought after assistants become head coaches next season? Where? Will the fired coaches find jobs elsewhere? There is going to be a lot more movement, more coaches fired. What are your predictions and thoughts?
I definitely think we lose at least one assistant coach this off season. There are going to be too many head coach vacancies for it not to happen.
He's the first one I thought of....... I won't be shocked if he gets a head coaching job in a couple of months, after our championship parade, of course.
I have heard the Hawks coach wants out bad. He doesn't want to rebuild. Phx interviewed him (and yes they are rebuilding but further along in the process, plus he is from the area). I think David Fizdale gets one of the openings.
If coach Budenholzer loses the race for the Suns job to Vanderpool.....I'd sign him to our coaching staff in a heartbeat...Stotts and Coach Bud would be an offensive defensive pairing that would work well...he's leaving the Hawks ...interviewing this week in Phoenix
Nets could let go Kenny Atkinson Bulls could let go Fred Hoiberg Joerger could be in danger in SAC probably not though Luke Walton is probably safe Stan Van Gundy could be out in Detroit Michael Malone could be out in Denver after yet another summer to be enjoyed. We could see some playoff teams who don't do well in the postseason let coaches go.
Coach Bud would be good for Portland IMO. The comedic value of his last name alone would be so useful here... I also like Fizdale a lot, but I'm not sure how well he connects with his players
Think David Vanterpool will score a head coach gig sooner rather than later. I don't want anyone who has tenured under Stotts as our new coach. We need an entirely new scheme and fresh blood in the system once we let Stotts go. . .
