There's more to basketball than 3s. We shot way to many of them.

I stand by my observations that 30.8% swish3 shooting is a loser, which can be improved by using Meyers as the Blazer with the best Playoff swish3 shooting percentage. I would play him with enough minutes to score 3-5 swish3s each game, and imagine that he will be effective in slowing AD. And I would keep him in the game as long as he was shooting 50%+.

There appear to be few if any NBA players who have achieved 76.9% or better swish3 shooting making at least 10 shots in the Playoffs, as Meyers has. The Blazers can win with Meyers in the game earlier for those key minutes when swish3s are urgently needed.

If they made a couple more we would be having a dancing party thread until the next game!

I kind of agree with this. When Stotts put him in at the end, I was like oh shit, Meyers is going to be our hero.

I totally understand the whole "Swish3" concept.

I just wonder who will play defense when Meyers is on the court?

Yep, that's why I shared it. One of those "great minds thinking alike" kind of things.

For those that don't like Meyers on the court, you should watch the NBCSN video and listen to Chad. I wonder how he really feels about Meyers?

The idea that he could somehow slow down Davis is as bizarre as it gets. He would get absolutely torched by AD who would constantly target him because he would have no clue how to defend him.

If Meyers plays significant minute in the series we are basically throwing the games away.

I wonder how long you are going to cling to his scoring statistics on 13 or 14 shots three years ago.

Sarni, you are refusing to recognize that scoring 10 of 13 swish3s in the Playoffs is a major achievement that would be a scoring force for the Blazers this year. I would add this talent to get the Blazer wins.

Meyers is playing defense against AD, doing as well as Jusuf and Ed, especially as those 2 tire later in the game. We disagree about his effectiveness. If Blazer coaches put Meyers in the game with instructions to shoot at least 4 swish3s, the Blazers can win. Choosing not to include Meyers is leading to losses.

I imagine that the Blazers can find the greater intensity, scoring, and play execution needed to win by including substitutions more effectively than in game 1 and win this series, and continue.

Scoring 10 on 13 three years ago is a meaningless statistic. It’s like saying Jennings should play 35 minutes a night for Milwaukee because he once scored over 50 points. If that’s the highlight of your career you know you haven’t really had the best time out there.

I can’t actually believe you think the lack of Meyers is the reason why we lose games.

I don't know why, but whenever I read swish3's comments I can't help but think of Tomik and Bellgarde from Family Guy...
