Welcome to my world! For those of us who saw the light a few years ago instead of last week, we will just keep advocating for change, any change, every February Trade Deadline, every June draft, every July Free Agent week, every end-of-preaseason when teams dump good players. You and I are up against a brick wall consisting of a talentless trade-challenged GM with a booming voice, an inflexible Coach with an unwinnable system, and scared-to-walk-outside status quo posters. I long ago gave up advocating particular changes, which change month to month. Now I skip details and address the psychological fears of all these authority-dependent snowflakes who think the sky is falling when they think of the concept of change.
Which is a great way to accomplish....very little. If one is afraid to make mistakes, success rarely follows.
It really is unbelievable... the season was a complete and utter failure... DEAD LAST IN NBA IN ASSISTS, only team to get swept in playoffs even tho we had homecourt, AND BEING DOWN AT LEAST 15 POINTS IN 3 OF 4 GAMES... and there is no accountability!!! Neil is condescending to fans telling us the coaching was great, Dame/CJ will never be broken up... basically no changes will be made... unreal
The only reason I see is that Dame doesn't seem to like to push the ball, and he is the main player. Given the youth of the players, I see no physical reason why they couldn't.
I think Paul gives Olshey one more chance to improve the team. Basically until the next mid-season trade deadline. Same with Stotts. Depending on how the team is doing, Stotts probably gets one more playoffs.
I think Playoffs are in danger Next Season if Dame doesn't play on MVP level the whole year because all opponents are healthy and Not missing important players
I'm of this mindset too. Same squad for the most part, but vastly different style of play vaulted them to a clear cut #1 seed. Them faltering yet again in the playoffs is giving me some pause however
EXACTLY!!! This regular season was a fluke... we caught teams with their best player out almost every night... this roster as constructed is fraudulent... they were exposed in playoffs. Other teams will be healthy and more experienced next season... and Neil thinks it was a success and no major changes needed... what a clown
Many other teams stars will be older and more injury prone if you ask me...the Blazers could very well be healthy and more experienced next season as well
